Vicious Wasteland

Navigate the Vicious Wasteland in Beast of Reincarnation. Learn about quests, minibosses, and optimal strategies for Area 1, 2, and 3.

Before entering the Vicious Wasteland, ensure you have accepted the quests "Bugs Be-Gone" and "Gift for My Girl".

Vicious Wasteland Area 1

This area has no special features. Random encounters may slow down; this can be mitigated by purchasing beast bangles for allies. Rudeus passively receives INT accessories from quests, so focus on those. It's recommended to use the Torrential Bangle and utilize Rudeus's level 1 water spell with the 'memory' function (settings) for efficient SP usage (2 SP). This requires not learning the Earth Chain of spells to spam the confirm button without manual spell selection. The memory function defaults to the first spell in the menu and only remembers a skill after it has been used once in battle. One accessory slot is used here; another, better INT accessory can be found within this dungeon via a quest.

The quest goal is marked on the map from the start.

Vicious Wasteland Area 2

This area also features a marked quest goal if you have the relevant quest. There is a third area, but it is advised not to enter it yet. Unlocking the save point in Area 2 is recommended for fast travel. Utilize shortcuts to backtrack out of the dungeon if necessary. Return to town to report quests and receive new ones.

Vicious Wasteland Area 3

Ensure you have the quest "Crucial Component" before entering Area 3. This requires completing the next dungeon's quest. This area features a miniboss fight against Rogue Leader + 2 Rogues. They have no elemental weaknesses. Rogues have approximately 180 HP, while the Leader has around 700 HP. The Leader can summon more Rogues infrequently. Focus on defeating the regular Rogues first, then the Leader. Consider equipping Rudeus with improved tier 2 heal/AoE heal and potentially some AoE abilities.

This area is otherwise optional. Completing the quest here unlocks additional quests, including the Area 3 quest for the next dungeon, and accessory enhancement if all previous quests were completed. Accessory enchanting details can be found in a dedicated guide section.
