Alright, let's talk about the Clock Tower in *Batman: Arkham Knight*. This place is super important because it's where Oracle, aka Barbara Gordon, sets up her base of operations. Think of it as her Batcave, but with a much better view of Gotham City. ## Location The Clock Tower is pretty easy to spot, sitting between Chinatown and the Cauldron districts on Bleake Island. You'll see it from pretty much everywhere. ## Incident Reports ### Before Arkham Knight Before all the chaos of the Arkham Knight incident, Bruce Wayne's company actually retrofitted this building. It was made super strong, able to withstand almost anything. It was so fancy that only the wealthiest folks in Gotham could afford to live there. When a massive earthquake hit Gotham, the Clock Tower was one of the few buildings that survived intact, keeping Barbara and the other residents safe. This success even led Bruce's company to bid on contracts to reinforce other skyscrapers in the city. ### Arkham Knight Incident This is where things get really interesting. The Clock Tower becomes Oracle's main hideout, and she even lies to her father, Commissioner Gordon, about evacuating Gotham. Inside, you'll find a Batcomputer that pops out of the floor when Batman activates a hidden scanning device in a Shakespeare bust. There's also a compartment with Barbara's old Batgirl suit and a corner with her computer and living space, showing this was her home. A photo of Barbara and Tim Drake (Robin) sits on a bookshelf. Batman and Barbara use the Clock Tower's systems to analyze Scarecrow's fear toxin and figure out it's being made at Ace Chemicals. When Gordon sees Batman using the Batcomputer, he gets angry, blaming Batman for Barbara's situation and storms off to rescue her himself. Batman uses the tower's CCTV to track down who took Barbara. During the 'Heir to the Cowl' mission, Batman arranges to meet Azrael here. He uses the Batcomputer to analyze Azrael's memories, discovering that The Order of St. Dumas has brainwashed him. Azrael will either try to fight Batman or destroy the Sword of Sins and leave to take down the Order. After Barbara is rescued, the Arkham Knight's militia, now led by Scarecrow, tries to destroy the Clock Tower's servers to cut off Oracle's access. Thankfully, Batman intervenes and defeats them, securing the systems. ## Trivia * Oracle seems to be a big fan of the Gotham City Police Department, with police coats, a hat, and a GCPD poster in her apartment. * It's unclear if Jim Gordon lives with Barbara, but the evidence suggests they might. However, there's only one bed, and Jim might stumble upon the Batcomputer. * Concept art showed a table in the center and Penguin in his *Arkham City* design. * Barbara stays in the tower until Ace Chemicals explodes. * If Azrael leaves without his sword, it stays behind.
