Things You Can't Do as a Visitor:

• You can't save the game yourself; only the host can do that.
• You can't grab items inside the host's house, but anywhere else is fair game!
• Laying down or removing floor patterns is a no-go for visitors.
• Generally, you can't interact with villagers unless they have a petition or are packing up to move.
• Campers are off-limits for inviting over when you're a guest.
• Lost items, whether in the Police Office or just lying around, can't be taken by visitors.
• Selling items in Re-Tail's flea market isn't allowed, though you can still sell directly to Reese.

Things Neither Host nor Visitor Can Do:

• The Town Hall is off-limits for everyone; Isabelle is just there for show.
• You can't donate to the Museum, so you'll have to help your friends complete their collections another time.

But Here's What Everyone CAN Do!

Don't worry, there's still tons of fun to be had! Pretty much everything else you can do in your own town, you can do with friends:

• You can check out all the shops – perfect for snagging that rare furniture piece your friend has!
• Selling turnips in Re-Tail is a go, so get ready for some serious cash flow!
• Feel free to pick up any items lying on the ground, including flowers.
• You can use tools like the Bug Net, Fishing Rod, Shovel, Axe (just be mindful of trees!), and Watering Can.
• You can run around and even trample flowers and grass – but seriously, try not to! It ruins the town's look.
• Dropping items on the floor is super useful for trading with your pals.
• Visiting Tortimer Island is an option, but everyone in the current session needs to agree to go.

When you're hanging out with friends, whether they're folks you know or new people you've met online, it's good to stick to some unspoken rules. Most of it is just common sense:

• Don't run around wildly! You can accidentally trample flowers and damage the grass.
