Walkthrough
- 1Examine the book in the car's boot. Go down the path towards a petrol station.
- 2Press L3 when prompted to see the car fall off the cliff. Make your way down the hill.
- 3After a cutscene, you will acquire the first two Manuscript Pages: _The Title Page of the Manuscript_ (1/91) and _Wake Attacked by a Shadowy Murderer_ (2/91).
- 4Continue along the path, noticing a shadowy figure and a light in a hut.
- 5Use a fallen tree to get over a fence. Look for the Rose is a Fan Manuscript Page (1/15) on another fallen tree (Nightmare Difficulty).
- 6Drop into a lumber yard and navigate log piles for a cutscene with Carl Stucky.
- 7After the cutscene, move past the forklift and find a Coffee Thermos (7/100).
- 8Turn right and find the _Wake Fights a Taken with Light_ Manuscript Page (3/91) next to a log pile.
- 9Run through the yard to reach the hut. You automatically pick up the revolver and torch. Grab Batteries and Revolver Ammo.
- 10When you try to use the phone, Stucky will crash a bulldozer into the hut. Leave through the back door. Press L3 to see the hut and bulldozer below.
- 11Go through the gate and fight two Taken. Use a nearby light if needed. Grab more Revolver Ammo. Note the yellow arrows and markings.
- 12Go to the back of the building and find a Chest (1/30) containing a Flare Gun and Flare Gun Ammo.
- 13Head back to the front and note the electrified fence. To the left, kick a generator to switch off the power.
- 14Climb over the fence and approach a digger, where you will be attacked by another Taken.
- 15After defeating the Taken, search an emergency cabinet for Batteries and Revolver Ammo.
- 16Temporarily go left and find the _Rose Daydreams About Wake_ Manuscript Page (4/91) on a cabin wall.
- 17Return to the digger and go up the path, avoiding a dangling cable.
- 18Drop down and follow the path to a log to cross a river. On the other side, go left and grab a Coffee Thermos (8/100) from a rock.
- 19Return to the log and head in the other direction. Use logs to cross the river again.
- 20On the other side, look for the _Barry's Arrival_ Manuscript Page (5/91) on a slab of concrete.
- 21Return to the previous log bridge. As you approach, you'll hear Carl Stucky.
- 22Cross the bridge and follow the path. Look for Revolver Ammo and Lithium Batteries on the ground.
- 23Find the _Dark Presence Wakes Up_ Manuscript Page (2/15) on the rocks nearby (Nightmare Difficulty).
- 24Cross rocks and defeat two axe-throwing Taken.
- 25Scramble up rocks to a large timber pile. Go left and find a ladder to climb another log pile.
- 26Reach a ruined building and find a Chest (2/30) containing a Flare Gun, Flare Gun Ammo, and Lithium Batteries.
- 27Backtrack to the logging site entrance and head in the opposite direction.
- 28You will be blocked by a fallen staircase. Grab Revolver Ammo and Batteries from an emergency supply cabinet.
- 29Go straight ahead and find another Coffee Thermos (9/100) on a rock.
- 30Turn around and examine a non-functional switch on a pole. Head towards a blinking green light.
- 31You will be attacked by three Taken. Use a flare if needed.
- 32After defeating the Taken, switch on the generator to restore power to the switch.
- 33Before heading back, go into the nearby hut and pick up the _Wake Attacked By Birds_ Manuscript Page (6/91) from a table.
- 34Grab the Shotgun from the nearby shelf.
