Episode 1: Find a poster advertising the 68th Annual Deerfest in the gas station.

Episode 2: Read both missing person's signs outside Sheriff Breaker's office. Find a sign by the Buck-Toothed Charlie exhibit in the Elderwood National Park visitor centre. Locate a visitor sign in the Moonshine Cave. Discover a sign on the lightning-blasted trunk of the Great Old One douglas fir. While heading towards Lovers' Peak, take the wrong path to find a sign about the age of the trees.

Episode 3: Find a sign by the entrance to the Coal Mine. Read a sign shortly after reaching the ghost town. Locate a sign as you ascend to the Mirror Peak lookout.

Episode 4: Find a sign by the sundial at the Cauldron Lake Lodge. Discover another sign in the lounge at Cauldron Lake Lodge. Locate a third sign in one of the corridors at Cauldron Lake Lodge. Find a sign at the base of the statue in the grounds of Cauldron Lake Lodge. Find a tour poster in one of the barns at the Anderson Farm.

Episode 5: Find a sign at the base of the statue of the town's founders in the park. Read a notice of a sale of Alan Wake's books on the wall of the bookshop. Discover a sign detailing upcoming events on the notice board outside the church. Find a sign by the swing bridge dedicated to a local war hero. Locate a sign warning off trespassers by the door to the power plant. Find a sign by the floodgate controls leading to the kill switch for the transformer yard. Discover a sign by the button which opens the door to the dam interior.

Episode 6: Find a sign advertising the Majestic Motel in a picnic area while driving to Cauldron Lake. Locate a sign in the lobby of the Majestic Motel. While driving towards Cauldron Lake, find a sign on the fence beneath a large "Larsen's Auto Salvage" billboard. Find the last sign on the door of a building in Larsen's Auto Salvage.
