Egypt in Age of Empires IV was built on a foundation of incredible natural wealth. Think of it like this: the Nile River wasn't just a landmark, it was the lifeblood of their entire civilization. Every year, it flooded, bringing fresh, fertile soil from Ethiopia. This meant they could farm way beyond the riverbanks, as long as the fields were close enough to get that annual sediment boost. Their main crops were wheat and barley, which were essential for making bread and beer – the daily grub for most Egyptians. They also had a good variety of fruits, veggies, and raised a bunch of animals like cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, geese, ducks, and pigeons. All this food meant they could support a big population and even trade food with others.

Beyond the farms, Egypt was sitting on a goldmine – literally! The hilly regions within Egypt and the nearby Sinai Peninsula were packed with minerals.
