Get started with Wii Fit! This guide breaks down the beginner training modes, including Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobics, and Balance Games, to help you build a solid fitness foundation.

Alright, let's dive into the training section of Wii Fit! This is where the real fitness journey begins. You've got your profile set up, maybe even done a Body Test, and now it's time to get moving. Think of this as your personal fitness coach guiding you through the basics.

When you select 'Training' from the main menu, you'll see your Fit Credits bank, which basically tracks how much time you've spent playing. The more time you put in, the more cool stuff you'll unlock! To your right, you'll find the main categories: Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobics, and Balance Games. You can also choose whether you want a male or female trainer to guide you through the exercises.

As you go through the exercises, keep an eye on the on-screen guides. Often, you'll see a yellow circle and a red dot. Your goal is to keep that red dot, which represents your movement, right inside the yellow circle. Sometimes, it's about keeping your weight within a blue area on a bar, or keeping a red line centered on a graph by holding the Wii Remote steady. For Balance Games, it's all about keeping that red dot within a specific blue zone to score well.

After you finish an exercise in Yoga or Strength Training, you'll get a grade based on your center of balance and earn stars. Generally, more points mean more stars:

  • 0-49 points = 1 star
  • 49-69 points = 2 stars
  • 70-89 points = 3 stars
  • 90-100 points = 4 stars

Aerobics and Balance Games are scored a bit differently, focusing on points earned or time taken. Don't worry if you don't get 4 stars right away; the goal is to improve over time! Plus, there are tons of new exercises and harder levels to unlock as you play more, which we'll get into later.
