Explore the various Solo Modes in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, including Elimination, Territory, and Objective modes, with detailed explanations of Bounty Hunter, Last Man Standing, and more.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter offers several distinct solo game modes, each with unique objectives and gameplay mechanics. These modes are designed for individual play against other players, focusing on different competitive elements.

Solo Elimination Mode
This mode features random spawn points, leading to hectic gameplay. There are five game types:

  • Bounty Hunter: Players are assigned a target that appears on the map. Bonus points are awarded for killing your target, with one point for killing non-targets. Consecutive target kill bonuses reset if you are shot. The player with the most points wins.
  • Last Man Standing: Players cannot respawn. The last player alive wins the match.
  • Seek and Destroy: The first player to get a kill becomes a target for everyone else. When someone shoots the target, they become the new target. One point is awarded for killing the target, and zero for killing other players. The target can also earn 1 point per kill while being targeted.
  • Sharpshooter: The first player to achieve 10 kills (or a custom amount) wins the match.
  • Thief: The player with the most kills becomes the 'thief' and is hunted by others. Players earn two points for killing the thief and one point for shooting other players. Each player has a limited number of respawns.

Solo Territory Mode
In this free-for-all mode, players fight for control of specific zones on the map. The primary game type is:

  • Hamburger Hill: There is one central zone. Occupying this zone earns points, and the first player to reach 150 points wins. Helicopters will also engage players in the center zone.

Solo Objective Mode
The goal here is for individual players to find and hold objects on the map while others hunt them down. Two game types are available:

  • Escort: Players must find an armed officer. The officer will shoot at other players while in the custody of the player who found him. The officer cannot be killed, only the player controlling him. Upon defeating the player controlling the officer, you gain custody. Points are awarded for holding the officer, and the player with the most points at the end wins.
  • Flag Carry: A single flag is located in the center of the map. Players must retrieve and hold the flag. Points are given for holding the flag, and the player who holds it the longest wins.
