Understand the difference between Ranked and Player Matches in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. Learn how TrueSkill ranking works and how to advance from Level 1 Private to Level 25 General.
In Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, games are divided into two categories: Player Matches and Ranked Matches. Player Matches do not affect your TrueSkill ranking or leaderboard position, are open to all players, and offer more flexibility for the host to start games. Ranked Matches, however, track your performance to influence your TrueSkill ranking. Performing well, especially against higher-ranked opponents, can lead to advancement on the leaderboard. Players begin as Level 1 Private and can progress up to Level 25 General. Be aware that higher-ranked players may see their rank drop quickly.
