Learn how armor works in tiny tinas wonderlands, including rarities, skills, prefixes, and class bonuses. Epic/Legendary armors grant skill points.
You will unlock the Armor slot early in your adventure, and Armors will become common drops. Armors come in various rarities: White, Green, Blue, Purple (Epic), and Legendary. Higher rarities offer more passive bonuses and a larger distribution of skill points. The skills on Armors are selected from a preset list, especially for Epic and Legendary rarities.
Epic and Legendary Armors feature a main class and a secondary class, determining the offered skills. Each class has a percentage contributing to its power. For example, Spellshot contributes to Spellweaving power. At level 40, Epic/Legendary armors give a 30% boost to the main class and a 15% boost to the secondary class. Chaotic, Volatile, and Primordial rarities provide even greater boosts.
Epic and Legendary Armors distribute five skill points across 1-3 skills. Legendary Armors do not grant more points than Epic ones but often include a unique special effect. Skill point allocation on armor will not exceed the maximum points available in the skill tree for that skill. For instance, a Spellshot's Double Knot skill on armor will never exceed "+3," while Spell Sniper could reach "+5," reflecting their maximum values in the skill tree. Each Epic/Legendary armor piece will have two skills for the main class and one skill for the secondary class.
White rarity armor offers minimal benefits. You can gain skill benefits from Armors even if you haven't learned those skills on the Skill Tree, provided you are one of the two classes associated with the armor. For example, if you are a Brr-Zerker/Spellshot and equip an armor with Brr-Zerker as the main class and Spellshot as the secondary, you can gain the effect of Imbued Weapon even if you haven't specced into it. However, you will not gain skill effects if you are not one of the two associated classes. Equipping an armor geared towards Brr-Zerker and Clawbringer, for instance, will not grant the effects of Dragon Aura if you are not playing as a Clawbringer.
Armor Pieces and Prefixes:
As mentioned, Epic/Legendary armors have a main and secondary class. The main class can grant access to two skills from its tree on the armor piece, while the secondary class grants one skill. The skills present are not random; for example, a Spellshot (main) and Brr-Zerker (secondary) armor will always have a combination of Just Warming Up, High Thread Count, and Instinct skills. These armors also share a consistent prefix, such as "Wild Mage's" for the Spellshot/Brr-Zerker combination, making it easier to identify armor types by their prefix, though the specific skill makeup can vary.
There is not a significant difference between Epic and Legendary armors, except that Legendary ones possess a special effect.
