Navigate Floor 1 (Outside) in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, including the Wizzrobe Ambush mini-boss and switch puzzles.
Walkthrough
- 1Follow the path and make the switch blue to cross the first two bridges.
- 2Change the switch to red. Be aware that enemies can change it back, and the bridges will switch again. You can fall.
- 3It is best to take out flying enemies when they are over nothing with the Magical Boomerang; they will fall to their doom.
- 4Cross the left bridge.
- 5Once across, throw your Boomerang back to hit the switch (a quicker way). If you don't have at least the normal Boomerang, it is recommended to get it now.
- 6Move north.
- 7Across, go left and push the block down.
- 8Throw the Boomerang to make the switch red.
- 9Create three clones, cross the bridge, and push the large stone up.
- 10Exit north.
- 11Get on the moving platform and go around the blocks. The Magical Boomerang is very effective here; you can throw it northeast to detonate bombs before you reach them, otherwise, you must quickly maneuver around them.
- 12Get off on the platform to the left, run up, and get back on the moving platform. A moving bomb is at the top.
- 13Get off on the left and exit this area.
- 14Kill the Stalfos and proceed onto the grating platform (referred to as 'grating' from now on).
- 15Exit at the top left.
- 16Go down and throw the Boomerang to make the switch blue.
- 17Go to the end of the bridge. When the log rolls left, quickly chase it and go up beside the switch.
- 18Hit the switch to turn it red, wait for the log to roll right, and cross the bridge.
- 19Go back, plant a bomb, and run back. The bomb will turn the switch blue, and the top bridge will appear.
- 20Cross the top bridge.
- 21Up here, go into the middle area for a mini-boss encounter.
Mini-Boss: Wizzrobe Ambush
- First, two Wizzrobes appear. Stun them with the Boomerang and defeat them.
- Suddenly, four more Wizzrobes appear. Use the same strategy.
- After they are defeated, six more Wizzrobes will appear. You will likely lose some health, but continue fighting.
Tips
- The Boomerang is a substitute for the Bow, but the Magical Boomerang is even better.
- Enemies can reset the switches, so be mindful of your surroundings.
- Use the Magical Boomerang to eliminate flying enemies over empty spaces for an easy defeat.
- When dealing with moving platforms and bombs, quick reactions and the Magical Boomerang are key.
- The grating platforms are a recurring element; they are simply platforms you walk on.
- Timing is crucial when dealing with the rolling log and switches.
- Planting a bomb to activate a switch is a necessary step for progressing across the top bridge.
