Need help finding 'A History of Masks' in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap? Follow our guide to navigate the Minish Woods and Hagen's Cabin to retrieve the book.
Alright, this is the last mask book you need to grab! Hagen's got it, so let's go track it down. You'll need the Pegasus Boots for this one.
Walkthrough
- 1Head over to Hagen. Equip your Pegasus Boots and ram the wall near the masks he has.
- 2Flip over the pot nearby, shrink down, and chat with the Minish. They'll tell you Hagen left the book at his cabin. They'll mark the spot for you.
- 3Now, fly to Lake Hylia. From there, head south into the Minish Woods.
- 4Make your way to the area where Syrup the witch used to be. You'll spot a red, circular sand entrance in the wall – this is it! Use your Mole Mitts to dig in.
- 5Once inside, take the right path. You'll encounter a Like Like; defeat it and clear away the dirt.
- 6Quick Tip: You can fuse with the symbol here to help out with the Gorons back at Lon Lon Ranch for the 'The Last Bottle' sidequest. After that, head back out.
- 7Go north and take the ladder. When you're outside, head east, then down, and finally right into Hagen's Cabin.
- 8Even though Hagen's note suggests charging in headfirst, that strategy won't work here. You'll need to go outside again.
- 9Head north from the cabin and ram the glittering tree. This reveals a portal! Shrink down and enter the water valley.
- 10Use your Gust Jar to make your way across the water and enter the house.
- 11Heads Up: If you fused with Fifi, Stockwell's dog, earlier, there's a chest waiting for you in the water valley.
- 12Inside the house, use a lily pad to cross the water. Then, head over to the cabinets.
- 13Using your tiny strength, push the right cabinet. Climb up on top of it and push the book down.
- 14Once you've got the book, regain your normal size and return it.
You'll get the book back, and Sturgeon (the old man upstairs) will take it. That's the last of the mask books!
