Complete walkthrough for Zaude in Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, including item locations, secrets, and a detailed strategy for the boss fight against Yeager.

Scene on entry. Go to the right and open the chest in the water for a Barrier. Continue north past the save point and examine the vent for another scene.

After the scene, go down the stairs and go left at the fork. Follow the path and you will find a room containing a lot of chests. Open them all for 15000 Gald, a Moon Cloak, Special Gel, Splash Dress, Limit Bottle, Life Bottle, Zaude Orb, 20000 Gald, and a Panacea Bottle.

Return to the fork in the previous room and go north. Examine the statue and then shoot it with the Sorcerer's Ring to flood the area.

Swim to the northwest and climb the rubble back to dry land. Open the nearby chest to the southwest for a Pineapple Gel. Follow the path northeast to a new screen.

Go into the water and then swim to the north for a Dunamis. The southeast exit of this room leads to a Lemon Gel.

Return to the first room and swim to the southwest. Go up the stairs for a scene. Continue up the stairs to a new screen. Go up the stairs and find a Rare Plate and a Rare Protector on the northwest and northeast balconies. Now enter the very large door to the north. You will find a healing save point here. Go through the door for a scene and a boss fight.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Focus on staying alive and whittling down Yeager's health. He is fast and uses combos and his crossbow effectively. He is hard to stun and breaks out of combos easily.
2. Phase 2: Yeager frequently enters Over Limit and uses his Mystic Arte. Spread out to avoid heavy damage. To achieve the secret mission, break his guard and hit him with Raven's Rain Arte. This is extremely difficult.

Strategy:

• Bring Raven for the secret mission and Estelle for healing.
• Consider bringing two fighters like Yuri and Flynn for offense and emergency healing. Avoid bringing Rita.
• For the secret mission, try trapping Yeager in his guarding stance with Flynn's 'Beast' Arte during Over Limit. Spam 'Beast' repeatedly if he guards. If his guard breaks, quickly switch to Raven and use the 'Rain' Arte. This may take many tries. Use Limit Bottles if necessary.
• If struggling with the secret mission, consider lowering the difficulty to Easy.
• Use a Magic Lens on Yeager during both phases.

If you want to backtrack out of here to restock on items, now is the time to do so. Heal. Save. Restock. When you are ready, head north from this room to continue.

In the next room will be the Giganto, Poseidon. You can defeat it now. It shouldn't be too difficult at this point. I highly suggest you beat him because the loot he is guarding is fantastic. Behind him you can find a Mjolnir, Shiden, and a Rod. The Rod has the 'Special' skill, which will allow Estelle to use her Mystic Arte!

Whether you beat the Giganto or not, go through the nearby door to the right. Follow the path until you find a room full of water. Go up the first flight of stairs and push the block there off the platform to the south. Open the nearby chest to the right for a Neptune. Now go down the stairs and push the block on top of another block that looks exactly the same at the south. Now go back up the stairs and shoot the blue orb to raise the water.

Swim to the stairs at the southeast end of the room and push the block to the west and into the water to create a path across. If the block didn't rise with the water, you didn't place it in the right place below. Anyway, continue to the west. This next part is very important. Be sure to shoot the red orb with your ring while standing on the left side of the crack in the floor. If done right, you will be standing on a balcony with a chest. Open the chest for a Treat and a Specific. Now go through the door to the west.

Continue down the halls to the west until you can go north. Follow the path down
