Keiv Moc

Navigate Keiv Moc in Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition. Learn strategies for the Gigalarva and Don boss fights, find hidden items, and complete side quests.

When you enter Keiv Moc, a scene will start. You can learn two recipes here: Pork Stew by having Raven cook the Beef Bowl recipe until learned, and Okonomiyaki by having Raven cook the Scottish Egg recipe until learned.

Follow the path and go up the tree. After a scene, continue on the south path at the fork for another scene. Karol will learn the Bug Breath Arte. Follow this path around to the north to find the optional boss, the Giganto Green Menace. Defeating it is required for a Side Quest later on, and it may be difficult but is possible to defeat now. Near the bear are chests containing a Bastard Sword and a Chain Whip. You can fight it now or return later.

Go back to the fork and take a left for another scene. A chest containing an Estoc is to the south. To your left is a chest containing an Orange Gel. Continue north and take a left. At the fork marked by a bright light, go left until you descend to a lower area. Along this path, you will find 2x Weak Bottles. Continue until you reach a dead end, then run up a nearby tree root to find a hidden chest containing a Rabbit's Foot.

Backtrack to the fork at the bright light and go south to a lower area. Here, a chest contains 2x Poison Bottles. Go north to a scene. On the next screen is a save point.

Southeast of the save point, run up a tree root to find a chest containing a Lemon Gel. Backtrack to the save point. Proceed north to a chest that attacks you when opened. After the battle, you will receive a Limit Bottle. Go up the nearby tree root and continue along the path. Open a chest containing 3x Mind Bottles.

You will eventually reach a healing save point. Prepare for a boss fight, ensuring Raven is in the party. To accomplish the Secret Mission, you must control Raven yourself.

Secret Mission: Hit Gigalarva with Raven's Serpent Arte while it tries to heal itself.

Strategy: Gigalarva's attacks have a wide area of effect but are slow. Have Rita use fire spells while Estelle heals. When Gigalarva's HP is around 30000, it will attempt to heal itself by sticking its tail in the water. Use this opportunity to hit it with Raven's Serpent Arte to complete the Secret Mission. Once the mission is accomplished, defeat Gigalarva with everything you have.

After the scene, heal at the save point and backtrack out of the forest. You will soon be thrust into another boss fight.

Strategy: This is a one-on-one fight where you control Yuri. On a first playthrough, you are intended to lose this fight. Your objective is to use a Magic Lens on the Don before being defeated. If playing on New Game+, with experience multipliers, you may have a chance to win. Use Free Run and only attack after the Don misses an attack. Be wary of his shockwave attack and his ranged purple energy wave. Any hit from the Don is likely a full combo that can kill you. This battle requires skill and is difficult even with experience grinding.
