Part 8

Complete walkthrough for Super Mario Sunshine Part 8, covering Episode 1: Gooper Blooper Breaks Out in Ricco Harbor. Learn how to defeat Gooper Blooper and find all the blue coins.

Walkthrough:

1. In Ricco Harbor, Episode 1, head to the freight area. There are multiple routes:
• FAST 1: From the black boat, spin jump onto the cage, then jump to the base of Ricco Tower. Climb the highest box, spin jump to the wall, wall jump, and hover. Turn around, get atop the wall to enter the freight area.
• FAST 2: From the black boat, spin jump onto the cage, backflip onto the boat's chimney base, then backflip onto the chimney. Spin jump onto the girders, walk along them, and fall onto the area with houses to reach the freight area.
• INTENDED: Get onto the black boat, hang onto the wall. Press B on the upper blue part to get into the cage, then press A to hang from the ceiling. Get under the blue part of the ceiling and press A to get atop the cage. Follow the arrow and jump onto the moving platform, then onto the green arrow platform. Climb the wall, jump onto the ceiling to hang from it. Go straight and left at the forks. Get on the wall, flip with B, hang from the ceiling again by pressing A. Get above the red arrow platform and drop onto it with B. Use the platform/hover to reach the scaffolding platform. Talk to the boat captain, spin the fan-like object by spraying it until the sub rises. Use the sub as a platform to hover to the platform under the scaffolding. Either backflip + wall jump + hover to hang from the scaffolding, or use the moving platform to jump atop it. Drop down to the freight area.
2. Once in the freight area, head to the tentacle coming out of the crates. You can either jump on it and press B to grab and pull it, or mash B next to it. The first option initiates the boss fight.
3. Boss Fight: Gooper Blooper
• Jump on one of its tentacles to stun it. Once all four tentacles are stunned, press and hold B to grab a tentacle and pull it off. Repeat this three times.
