100 Coins at Pianta Village:

Select Episode 5 for access to Yoshi.

  • Coins 60-64: From the start, fall through a vertical line of coins into a bouncy green mushroom. Land on the mushroom the green one is on, then the red mushroom. Jump and hover to the closest black mushroom (not the starting one) and ground pound it to reveal 20 coins. The remaining 35 coins are on the underside of the giant mushrooms.
  • Coins 73-86: Use the giant green mushroom to return from the underside. Go to the empty hot spring and ground pound its center to reveal 13 coins.
  • Coins 82-91: Next to the empty hot spring is a Pianta-shaped plant. Ground pound its nose to get 1 blue coin and 9 coins.
  • Coins 101-120: Hatch Yoshi by giving him fruit. Spray the beehive above you until it breaks. Eat all 20 bees (the last one gives a blue coin) for gold coins. If more coins are needed, another beehive is near the hot spring, but it's riskier. The 100th coin triggers the Shine Sprite above the Pianta plant's fist.

Pianta Village Blue Coins:

Requires multiple trips across episodes 3, 5, 6, and 8.

  • #1-8 (Piantas in need): Collectible only in Episode 6. Wash all 10 villagers, then talk to the 8 adult villagers for a blue coin each.
  • #9 (M on a wall): At the level start, turn around and wash off the 'M' on the wall behind you.
  • #10 (M in the underside): From the start, jump down to the underside. Hover between mushrooms until you reach grating. Cling to the side, flip up, and climb onto the grating. Turn left, hover to distant grating, and wash the 'M' on the ceiling.
  • #11 (The sign): Collectible in Episodes 2, 4, 6, & 8. Cross the bridge and spray the sign next to the fence for a blue coin.
  • #12 (Giant leaves on a giant tree): Cross the bridge, turn left, and walk up the giant tree before the tall grass. On the far left leaf, near the end, is a platform with a blue coin.
  • #13 (In tall grass): Cross the bridge, turn left, and go past the giant tree to the tall grass area. A blue coin is next to a tree.
  • #14 (Yoshi and the bees 1): Collectible only in Episode 5. Hatch Yoshi. Spray the beehive hanging from a pole above you until it falls. Eat all 20 bees for a blue coin.
  • #15 (Yoshi and the bees 2): Collectible only in Episode 5. This is similar to #14, but with 30 bees. The beehive hangs from the giant tree closest to the hot spring. Spray it until it falls, then eat all the bees. Lure them away from the edge first.
  • #16 (Blue butterflies): Collectible only in Episode 5. Hatch Yoshi and take him to the fruit tree. Spin jump onto the mushroom next to the fruit tree. Eat all the blue butterflies for a blue coin.
  • #17 (M on a building): In the right-middle grass patch of the half of the village farthest from the hot spring, wash the 'M' on the side of a building facing the level start.
