Part 7

Find all the Blue Coins in Part 7 of our Super Mario Sunshine walkthrough, including the lone island, blue butterfly, bees, and more.

This section details how to find various Blue Coins in Super Mario Sunshine, often requiring specific episodes or unlocked abilities like Yoshi.

1. Platforms Rising Out of Cliff: Use the Super Whirl Jump (swinging from a rope with water sprays) or wall jump and hover to reach the platforms. A blue coin is located here.
2. The Lone Island: Accessible after episode 5. On the cliff where Petey was, spray the closer cloud to make it huge, then the next one, and hover to the island. Alternatively, spin jump from where coin 12 was and hover.
3. Blue Butterfly: Available on episode 8 with Yoshi unlocked. Feed Yoshi his desired fruit (found in the lake area), then go to the river. Flutter jump across and find the blue butterfly near the building with two towers. Eat it for a blue coin.
4. Bees: Available on episode 8 with Yoshi unlocked. Get Yoshi, go to the lake area, eat the blue enemies, then eat the six bees. Spray a beehive until it falls, then eat all the bees that attack. One beehive's bees contain a blue coin.
5. O (1): Available in episodes 7 & 8. On the back of the house with two towers, wash off the 'O' to reveal a blue coin. Dive into it and slide to collect.
6. O (2): Available in episodes 7 & 8. Similar to the 'X' coins, wash off the 'O' from coin 16 to reveal a blue coin. Run over to collect it.
7. Blue Bird: Reach the top of the windmill where the shine appeared in episode 4. Spray the blue bird three times to turn it into a blue coin.
8. The Guy Who Gets Hit With Goop a Lot: Available in episodes 5-8. Go down the starting hill to the river, look right for a white tower. Reach the top (jump on the windmill, then wall jump off the tower). Wash the goop off the guy and talk to him for a blue coin.
9. Spinning the Windmill: Spray the spinny part of the windmill closest to the white tower until it spins rapidly to reveal a blue coin.
10. Watering the Trees: Not available in episodes 1 or 2. In the lake area, get atop the tree closest to the waterwheel and hover over its treetop to make a blue coin appear.
11. A Pokey on a Brick: Appears in episodes 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8. In the lake area, go to the separated landmass. Get atop the white wall and find a brick platform with a Pokey. Beat the Pokey on the next brick platform for a blue coin.
12. Under the Bridge: Available in episodes 4-8. Use the tightrope under the bridge to the big windmill, then jump to hang from the scaffolding. Monkey over to the blue coin.
13. Under the Lake: This blue coin is underwater in the lake, along the right side.
14. Under the Dirty Lake: Only available in episode 6. Run into the left side of the dirty lake and submerge. Follow the trail of coins to a blue coin.
15. Island Rising Out of the Lake: Follow the path around the big windmill to the grassy area. Look right for a tall island. Hover over to it and spray the middle to make a blue coin appear.
16. M on a Windmill: Follow the path to the big windmill. On the wall is an 'M'; spraying it yields a blue coin.
17. Pokey on the Big Windmill: Not available in episodes 1 & 2. Ride the big windmill to the top. Beat the Pokey there for a blue coin.
18. The Tallest Small Windmill: Ride the big windmill nearly to the top, then spin jump and hover to this windmill.
