This guide covers Part 10 of Super Mario Sunshine, detailing specific episodes and secret shines within Ricco Harbor.
- 1Episode 7: Shadow Mario Revisited
Chase and spray Shadow Mario. He will fall on the girders or nearby and give you a shine.
- 2Episode 8: Yoshi's Fruit Adventure
Go to the market to find a Yoshi egg. You need to find a Durian. Get atop the fruit dispenser and ground pound one of the tanks to dispense fruit until you get a Durian. Kick the Durian to Yoshi and hop on. Spray a Cheep Cheep jumping out of the ocean to turn it into a purple platform. Hop onto it and ride it to a steel platform. To your left is a ledge with a coconut tree. Eat the coconut to turn pink. Hop back to the steel platform, wait for another Cheep Cheep, spray it to turn it into a pink platform, and use it to reach the next steel platform. Repeat this process twice more to reach the platform with a shine in a cage. The cage is blocked by spongy goop. Have Yoshi spray the goop (FLUDD does not work), then ground pound the cage to flip it and get the shine.
- 3Ricco Harbor Secret Shine: Blooper Surfing Time Test
This shine can be obtained in Episode 2. Enter the Blooper-surfing bonus stage and get on the green Blooper. Aim to finish in under 40 seconds to get the shine. Hold forward on the track, making adjustments for sharp turns. Using the green Blooper is recommended.
- 4Ricco Harbor Secret Shine: Ricco Tower's Red Coins
This shine is available in Episode 4, after beating it once. Go to Ricco Tower with the Hover Nozzle. Ground pound the red switch. Collect the red coins:
- 1 & 2: Above the second and fourth spinning rectangles.
- 53 & 4: After the second set of rectangles, wall jump for one and hop to the other.
- 65: In the gear area, hover to collect it.
- 76, 7 & 8: On the rectangles; hover when safe. The last coin is on the large rectangle.
- 8100 Coins at Ricco Harbor
The most coins are available in Episode 1. More coins appear after triggering the cutscene with Gooper Blooper, but aim for at least 64 coins first.
- -11 Coins: Ground pound the manhole cover to enter the sewers and collect coins. Follow the path and jump to get more coins. Exit the sewers the way you came.
- 9-18 Coins: Get on the black boat, spin jump atop the cage for four coins, ground pound the panel to flip it, then press B to drop down. Collect two coins here, then beat the Blooper for another. Wash off an M for a blue coin.
- 10-20 Coins: Get on the ceiling of the cage, flip the panel with A to get atop it again, then jump to the base of Ricco Tower. Beat two Bloopers for a coin each. Wash off an M on the ground and an M on the side of the black boat for blue coins.
- 11-25 Coins: Near the boxes in the water are four jumping Blooper-like things with coins above them. Spray them to turn them into platforms, then jump across each for a coin. Hop to the black boat and beat the Blooper on it.
- 12-37 Coins: Get on the cage again and look at the crane. Spin jump and hover onto the crane to collect 12 coins and 1 blue coin.
- 13-48 Coins: Jump to the top of the maze of scaffolding. Collect four coins on top. Ground pound the up/down panel for a coin, then flip back and fall onto the green arrow platform. Navigate the maze, collecting six coins from wrong turns. Find your way to the red arrow platform and drop onto it.
- 14-52 Coins: Hover to the next platform and spray the fan to raise the sub. Dive under the red arrow platform for a blue coin and four coins. Swim back to the sub and jump on.
- 15-55 Coins: Spray the jumping jellyfish to cross to the platform with three coins.
