Part 5

Final Obstacles: Navigate moving cubes and flipping platforms. Run across disappearing triangles when they are gone, use the same strategy for the moving cube as previous ones (watch for its spinning), and treat the final red and blue flipping platforms like the earlier maze. Collect your Shine Sprite.

Episode 7: Shadow Mario on the Loose: This is the seventh episode, a chase sequence. Hold R lightly while chasing Shadow Mario. After defeating him, walk over to him and collect the Shine Sprite.

Episode 8: The Red Coins of the Lake: Collect 8 red coins scattered around the lake area.

Coin 1: Hovering above the lake near the rising platforms and Hillside Cave wall. Ride a lilypad over and backflip.

Coin 2: Use the Pianta chuckster to get to a tree near the shore. Jump to a tightrope between two windmills and grab the coin above the rope.

Coin 3: Found on the path to the Hillside Cave, where the red gear used to be.

Coin 4: Follow the path to Hillside Cave, jump to a nearby windmill at the up arrow sign. Get the Rocket Nozzle, then use the tightrope attached to the windmill.

Coin 5: Use the C-Stick for an overhead view and L to help. Jump for the red coin on the next tightrope, avoiding the red gear.

Coin 6: On the next rope, jump forward when the red gear hits the end. Ground pound a Pokey (flower) when your shadow is above it. A red gear and coin are on the next rope.

Coin 7: On the next rope, double jump from it to get the red coin above.

Coin 8: On the windmill with no tightrope on the other end, wait for the Gusty to charge, then spin jump over it and hold R. When the FLUDD meter is half red, spin jump to another windmill, holding R. In mid-air, you'll rocket upwards. Hold forward and ground pound when your shadow is above the target windmill. Finally, use a double jump from a tightrope to get the last red coin.

Shine Sprite: The shine appears in an alcove in the big windmill. You can collect a blue coin at the other end of a rope first. Then, rocket up to the shine.

Bianco Hills Secret Shine: The Hillside Cave's Red Coins: This secret shine is available in episodes 3-8 after beating episode 3 once. Ensure you have the Hover Nozzle.

Enter the Hillside Cave and ground pound the red switch near the start to make 8 red coins appear with a time limit.

Coin 1: On the left side of the second step.

Coins 2-5: On the four corners of the block maze. Get the near-right one first (it moves side to side), then hover for the other three (in order: near entrance, then the other two).

Coin 6: On a spinning star to the left of the cube path. Spin jump and hover.

Coins 7 & 8: Hover to the stars on the opposite side of the area.

Shine Sprite: Appears next to the last coin.

Bianco Hills Secret Shine: The Dirty Lake's Red Coins: This can be done in episodes 6-8. Enter Cliff Spring Cave (do NOT get the Turbo Nozzle).

Press the red switch.

Coin 1: In the small maze of flipping platforms. Jump and hover.

Coin 2: On a star above a 1-up. Jump onto the star, double jump into the coin, and triple jump onto the cube.

Coin 3: Spin jump and hover off the cube near the triangles. Jump for the coin, possibly over the triangles.

Coin 4: Ride the cube up and get the red coin on the way.
