Hey there! So, you're diving into Super Mario Odyssey, huh? Awesome choice! This game is the first big 3D Mario adventure on the Nintendo Switch, and it dropped on October 27, 2017. Fun fact: the team that made Super Mario 3D World got right to work on this one back in 2013. They really leaned into what the Joy-Con controllers could do, which is how we got that super cool hat-throwing mechanic and those huge, open sandbox levels. Plus, they changed things up so when you grab a Power Moon, Mario doesn't get sent back to the start of the level like in older games. Pretty neat, right?
