How to Beat Spewart

Learn the best strategies and tips to defeat Spewart, the boss of the Lake Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. Discover his weaknesses and attack patterns to emerge victorious.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Spewart is vulnerable to his own ink.
• He is defeated by three ground pounds to his head.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Spewart will spray ink and try to corner you. Dodge his attacks and try to lure him into his own ink puddles.
2. Phase 2: Spewart will become faster and spray ink more aggressively. Continue to dodge and use the ink puddles to your advantage.
3. Phase 3: Spewart will attempt to charge at you. Dodge this attack and ground pound his head when he is stunned.

Strategy:

• The arena is filled with ink. Avoid stepping in it as much as possible, as it slows Mario down.
• Spewart will periodically spray ink in a wide arc. Observe his patterns and dodge accordingly.
• Look for opportunities to lure Spewart into the ink puddles he creates. When he steps in his own ink, he will become temporarily stunned.
• Once Spewart is stunned, quickly run up to him and perform a ground pound on his head.
• Repeat this process two more times to defeat Spewart.
• If you get trapped or need to reposition, use the various platforms in the arena to your advantage.
