Discover the dangers and rewards of the Wild Territory in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl - Enhanced Edition. Learn about anomalies like Conflagrator and Crispy Train, and find exits to Rostok, Garbage, and Yantar.

Alright, so you've made it to Rostok and probably heard whispers about the Wild Territory. Think of it as a shortcut, a bit of a chaotic hub that connects Garbage to Yantar, which is way better than how it used to be in the original game where Yantar felt like a dead end. It's a small part of the Rostok area, and even the Duty faction gives it a wide berth. Just dive in and expect the unexpected!

When you first roll up to Rostok, it's worth taking a peek into the Wild Territory on your way. It's not a critical spot for the main story, but it can be a blast and, if you're lucky, pretty profitable thanks to hidden stashes.

ANOMALIES

You'll run into some nasty anomalies in here. Keep your wits about you!

Conflagrator

This one's a real pain, mostly because of those nearly invisible burners lurking both under and before the underpass. Be super careful on the down ramp if you're coming in from the north-west. There's also a 'comet' anomaly patrolling, but at least its path is predictable and slow, so you can learn to dodge it. Honestly, this anomaly is a solid reason to start saving up for the Svarog detector – it'll make your life a lot easier.

Crispy Train

This anomaly often forces you to do some tricky platforming over several 'electros' (electrical anomalies). Artefacts love to spawn behind the fence just north of the train cars in the north-west corner. The safest way to get to them? Hop onto the easternmost train car from the tracks. Then, get a running jump off its edge, clear the corner of the fence, and land inside. Grab any artefacts you find, check the stash box tucked away in the back corner, and then make another running jump off the stacked pipes to get back over the fence.

Sparkle Deadlock

Head to the north end of the collapsed underpass, down the ramp near the crashed helicopter. You'll find loads of 'electros' here, especially in the back corners where, unfortunately, artefacts tend to pop up. The good news? You can shelter from emissions down here. If your detector starts pinging about an artefact while you're topside, chances are it's buried somewhere below you.

EXITS

You'll find a few ways out of the Wild Territory:

  • Rostok (north-east)
  • Garbage (south-east)
  • Yantar (south-east)
