Welcome to the Zone, Stalker!
This is my guide for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly, taking you through the 'Lost To The Zone' storyline, with a lot of tips and tricks on the way. You can download Anomaly here:
Anomaly is a huge mod package which allows you to play in all the regions from all the first three games, including cut content. You can play Anomaly's story until it ends, at which point the game may let you continue your adventure as a sandbox experience, or you can just play in sandbox mode anyway and ignore the story. There are also other game modes you can experiment with if Anomaly's default modes are still not enough Zone. Please, see the Miscellaneous Tips & Tricks section for details on many of the additions to Anomaly since the original games.
This guide is written as an open-ended walkthrough, allowing you to follow the story mode and complete all the missions in linear fashion, while also directing you to territories in the Zone which are suitable for visiting at each stage of the story. You generally want to stay in the assigned neighbourhoods until the story pushes you elsewhere, as the Zone will not forgive you for exploring where you don't yet belong.
This guide was written for version 1.5.2 of Anomaly, which can be found here:
Despite a few apparent bug fixes and improvements, I did not update to version 1.5.3, because it forces compatibility with GSC Game World Fan Content Creation Guidelines. This was necessary because Anomaly is a free mod which contains all the content from the first three S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, meaning you can effectively play them without buying them. Anomaly in 1.5.3 is now compelled to comply with the developers' wishes for legal reasons, and this affects mod compatibility - a lot of mods made for Anomaly may be disabled if GSC does not like them. If you are playing on a different version of Anomaly, please, be aware that some of the details in this guide may no longer match your experience.

This guide may be updated in the future to be compatible with version 1.6 when it releases.
OPTIONAL MODS
There are loads of mods available for Anomaly, far too many to list. I recommend the following:
Quick Companion Teleport - This is almost essential for Anomaly. The NumPad 6 hotkey is assigned to immediately teleport all your companions to your location if they are found in the same sector. I used this one a lot in my playthroughs, and some quests may even break without it. (You may have to mash the key several times while moving around to get your companions to teleport to you.)
Companion Stealth Headlamps - Companions turn off their headlamps when in STEALTH mode, so that they are not constantly giving away the team's position.
Mutant Bleeding - This is a nice QoL addition, making mutants bleed out and die in combat, rather than forcing you to put them down each and every time. You can therefore do some damage, confirm that the mutant is bleeding, then just camp somewhere and time them out.
Weather Revamped - The weather in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is already dramatic, but this mod ramps it up to 11. The rain s
