Navigate the dangerous Army Warehouses in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl - Enhanced Edition. Learn about Freedom HQ, Bloodsucker Village, key NPCs like Lukash and Leshiy, and hazardous anomalies.
The Army Warehouses serve as Freedom's primary stronghold in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl - Enhanced Edition. This area is fraught with danger due to the proximity of Duty, frequent mutant and anomaly infestations, and hidden threats on its hills. Monolith snipers also pose a significant risk. As your reputation grows with one faction, it may decline with the other, so be mindful of faction territories, especially when trading gear.
Dominant Faction(s): Freedom, Mercenaries
MAJOR LOCATIONS
Army Warehouse (Freedom HQ) (south-east): This well-defended base is accessible via a single entrance and offers a preferable fast-travel bed compared to the northern one. Ensure you are on good terms with Freedom before using its facilities.
Barrier (north-east): Guarded by the invincible Gatekeeper, this location is the gateway to the Radar. Despite its defenses, Monolith forces often breach this area. It's a site for quests involving fending off Monolith attacks and dealing with a horde of the undead, during which some important Freedom NPCs may perish.
Bloodsucker Village (west): Though largely abandoned by bloodsuckers, this area remains hazardous, patrolled by two comets and other hostiles. It's worth exploring for anomalies and specific quests or stashes, but otherwise, it is advisable to avoid.
MAJOR CHARACTERS
Lukash (Freedom, Army Warehouse HQ building): The Freedom commander, located upstairs. He offers significant quests and requires a substantial sum of RUs to join the faction.
Leshiy (Freedom, Army Warehouse HQ building): A fast-travel merchant offering transport to Cordon, Yantar, or Jupiter for a fee. His prices are tiered: Cordon (cheapest), Yantar, then Jupiter (most expensive). Leshiy may wander off to engage in nearby firefights and can sometimes be found dead on a hillside.
Screw (Freedom, Army Warehouse HQ building): The Freedom technician.
Skinflint (Freedom, Army Warehouse storehouse): The Freedom quartermaster who sells various weapons and Freedom-issue armor. He also operates as a money-lender.
Gatekeeper (neutral, hillside by Barrier): An invincible NPC crucial for the Living Legend quest-line, known for having an Anomaly named after him.
ANOMALIES
Corpse Disposer: A dangerous anomaly near the east pond, emitting a gas that can quickly destroy equipment. High chemical resistance and antidotes are recommended. Loot can be found in a nearby hut, but beware of the patrolling gas ball.
Hell Walls: A dense cluster of burners located in a burned house at the north edge of Bloodsucker Village. Its extreme danger warrants avoidance, even when seeking artifacts.
Lignite Weeds: A group of burners situated near the south exit to Rostok, guarding a fallen tree.
Masher: A hazardous anomaly featuring vortexes and radiation, found on a hill west of the Army Warehouse wall, east of the Truck Cemetery exit.
Newton: Similar to the Masher, this anomaly is located on a hill east of the Red Forest exit. A stash box is hidden behind bushes near rocks, and heavy radiation is present.
Shock Therapy: A collection of large boulders on a hillside west of the Red Forest exit. Electros are present on the ground, and an artifact may be found within a gap among the boulders.
