Alright, so you've probably stumbled into the Meadow area, maybe by accident or because a quest pointed you here. Honestly, it's not much – think of it as a shortcut between the Cordon and the Dark Valley that the developers didn't quite finish. The game engine kinda forgets about it, so it's usually pretty empty, which is kinda the point, I guess. Unless you're deliberately trying to walk everywhere or a specific mission sends you here, there's really no reason to hang around. Just do what you need to do and get out, you're not missing any hidden treasures.

The main folks you'll run into here are the Bandits, so keep an eye out for them.

Major Locations

You'll find a few spots worth noting:

• North Yard (north-west): Expect a few Bandits here, probably not carrying much. Watch out for anomalies and radiation. If you're taking fire and can't see who's shooting, they're likely hiding in that yellow earth-mover.
• Factory (north-east): This is probably the most 'interesting' part. You might find a poltergeist and a burer wandering around. There's also a single stash box, and keep an eye out in the back room of the western building – there's a good chance you'll find some tools stashed away.
• South Village (south): A bit of minor loot can be found here, along with a single bed. It's also a decent spot to take shelter if an emission hits.

Anomalies

Be careful in the west part of the Meadow. You'll find the Volt anomaly, which is basically an enclosed vehicle yard packed with dangerous electros. Seriously, don't mess around in there.

Exits

The Meadow connects to two main areas:

• Dark Valley (north)
• Cordon (south)

So, yeah, the Meadow is mostly just a transit zone. Get in, do your business, and get out. Don't expect much else from it.
