Your guide to the 'Talk to the Commandant' mission in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky Enhanced. Learn how to find Freedom's base, deal with Lingov's tasks, and get closer to Fang.

Alright, Stalker, you've made it to the Freedom base. Remember, you're on their turf now, so no funny business. Commandant Lingov wants to see you, and he's got some questions for you. This is a primary mission segment in Clear Sky. ### Acquiring the Mission First things first, you'll get this mission after you complete the task to Find Freedom's base. ### Overview So, Scar has found the Freedom base. It's a bit like arriving in the Dark Valley, but Lingov offered to answer your questions, so that's your next stop. ### Mission: Talk to the Commandant If you came in from the west, Lingov's office is pretty much straight ahead. You'll need to go around the ramp leading into the hangar, but it's easy to spot. When you chat with Lingov, you'll find out that someone who might be Fang met with Chekhov a few days ago. But, as always in the Zone, nothing's free. Lingov wants you to do a couple of favors before he'll let you see Chekhov. ### Mission: Kill the pseudo-dog: Scraggy encampment Lingov's first request is to deal with a Pseudodog that's been causing trouble near the base. Once you agree, the Talk to the commandant mission wraps up, and you'll get a new one: Kill the pseudo-dog: Scraggy encampment. The mutant is just outside the western gate. Be careful around the irradiated water – you might want to find a way around it. A single shotgun blast should do the trick. After that, Kill the pseudo-dog: Scraggy encampment is complete. You'll get two new tasks: Collect your reward (head to the bar for this, check the Notes section) and Get orders from the commandant. ### Mission: Get orders from the commandant Time to head back to Lingov's office for another task. This time, he needs you to deliver some ammo to a far outpost and sends you to Ashot the trader to get the supplies. Once that conversation is done, Get orders from the commandant is complete, and you'll get a new objective: Get ammo from Ashot. ### Notes At this stage of the game, it's a good idea to keep your PDA account balance low. There are storage boxes in Yar's workshop and inside the hangar near the stairs.
