How to Beat Controller (Dark Valley)

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Primary Weakness: Fire and Explosives
• Secondary Weakness: Headshots (difficult due to its psychic abilities)
• Resistances: Psychic attacks, standard ballistic damage (less effective)

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Psychic Barrage: The Controller will primarily use its psychic scream to disorient and damage the player. It will also attempt to throw objects. Stay in cover and wait for an opening.
2. Phase 2: Close-Quarters Assault: If the player gets too close, the Controller may attempt a melee attack or a more focused psychic blast. Keep your distance.
3. Phase 3: Desperation: As its health lowers, the Controller may become more aggressive, using its abilities more frequently. This is also when it might try to regenerate health if not pressured.

Strategy:

• Stay Mobile: Do not stand still. The Controller's psychic attacks are area-of-effect and can be devastating. Keep moving, use cover, and dodge its projectiles.
• Listen Carefully: Pay attention to audio cues. The Controller's psychic abilities have distinct sounds that can warn you of an incoming attack, giving you a brief window to react or take cover.
• Heal Proactively: Don't wait until you're critically low on health to heal. Use medkits whenever you take significant damage, as the Controller can quickly finish you off if you're weakened.
