How to Beat Chimera

This guide details how to defeat the Chimera in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Learn its weaknesses, attack patterns, and the best strategies to emerge victorious from this challenging encounter.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weaknesses: Headshots are critical. Fire and explosive damage are effective.
• Resistances: High resistance to ballistic damage.
• Movement: Extremely fast and agile, capable of leaping great distances.
• Attacks: Powerful melee swipes, a lunging bite, and a pounce attack.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Initial Engagement
   The Chimera will likely start by charging or leaping at you. Maintain distance and aim for the head.
2. Phase 2: Aggressive Pursuit
   If you create distance, the Chimera will relentlessly pursue. Use cover to break line of sight and prepare for its next attack.
3. Phase 3: Desperation (if applicable)
   As its health lowers, its attacks might become more erratic, but its speed remains a primary threat.
