Navigate Antlia B1F and B2F, find key items, and prepare for the boss battle against Tyrant Morax in this Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux walkthrough.
Walkthrough
- 1Start by taking the eastern door from the main room. Follow the linear path, collecting any Forma found.
- 2Return to the main room and take the south path. You may find a Strike Team member who sends a document.
- 3Explore the north side of this area for a treasure box containing [Revival Bead x1].
- 4Continue to the easternmost part of the area and take the stairs down.
- 5Work your way west, where you can meet another Strike Team member who explains demon fusion and the compendium.
- 6Find another terminal just beyond this Strike Team member.
- 7In the west end, find more stairs heading down. Explore the rest of this area to find a treasure box with [Chakra Drop x2] and random Forma.
- 8Return to the entry room with the Heal Spot and explore the west side.
- 9In this western area, find a treasure box with [Patra Stone x2]. This is a dead end.
- 10You now have two choices: descend stairs in the southeast or southwest. The guide recommends the southeast stairs for now.
- 11On Antlia B2F, the east end is a dead end with a dead Strike Team member and random Forma. Return to B1F.
- 12Take the western stairs down from B1F.
- 13At the fork, take the west door. You can find a Sandman demon here, which offers an EX Mission: "Sandman's backup bag".
- 14Return to the fork and take the east door. You will face a fixed battle with a Brute Oni.
- 15After the battle, a Strike Team member appears and gives you random Forma, [DF Antlite x1], and [Jaki Bolt x2].
- 16Continue on to a fixed battle with a Fallen Melchom and Brute Oni.
- 17Proceed through the door past them. South of this area, find a treasure box with [Bufula Stone x1].
- 18Further in, another fixed battle awaits: Brute Oni with Beast Kaso and two Fairy Pixies. Continue past them.
- 19You will reach an area where a powerful demon is detected. A Strike Team member sends a document with a demon password.
- 20Utilize the Heal Spot and Terminal in this room. Save your game.
- 21Explore outlying areas to find [1000 Macca] and [Revival Bead x2] in treasure boxes.
- 22Fuse or recruit demons around your level for the upcoming boss.
- 23Equip the Andersen gun and Ancient Vest if you have the Forma.
- 24Prepare for the boss battle beyond the northern door. The boss will ask a question: "Aren't demons the real heroes?" Choose your answer: "You have a point." (Chaos), "Not at all." (Neutral), or "Both races are wrong." (Law).
- 25Proceed to the boss battle: Tyrant Morax.
Boss: Tyrant Morax
- HP: 700 / MP: 9999
- Weaknesses: Ice
- Resistances: Fire
- Nullifies: Expel, Curse
- Strengths: Gun
Strategy:
- Morax frequently uses Maragi, so de-equip any armor that gives the Main Character a Fire weakness.
- He also uses Gehenna, which can inflict Fear, causing loss of turns or forcing demons to be re-summoned.
- His physical attacks, Lunge and Horned Rampage, are less threatening.
- Use password demons for buffs like Sukukaja (up to +4, as Morax doesn't have Dekaja).
- Having a demon with Media can be helpful for healing.
- Ice attacks are effective if your team has them.
- Morax has only 700 HP. Focus on non-fire elemental attacks and regular physical attacks.
- Recommended level is around 10-11 for the main character and 8-11 for demons, with recent equipment.
