Successfully completing a Vendetta mission can significantly alter the power balance in Mordor.

When a friendly Orc under your command is slain by an enemy captain or Warchief, a Vendetta mission will automatically trigger. You'll be presented with the name of the Orc who killed your ally and the location of the target. These missions are crucial for maintaining morale among your forces and for weakening the enemy's grip on power.

How Vendetta Missions Work:

• Triggering a Vendetta: A Vendetta mission is initiated when an Orc you've previously influenced or commanded is killed by an enemy Uruk captain or higher.
• Mission Objective: Your primary goal is to hunt down and kill the specific Uruk responsible for your ally's death.
• Rewards: Successful completion of a Vendetta mission typically rewards you with Power Runes, Mirian, and sometimes even valuable gear. It also removes the offending Uruk from power, potentially creating an opening for a new Uruk to rise.
• Impact on the Nemesis System: Vendettas are a direct manifestation of the Nemesis System. They allow you to directly intervene in the Uruk hierarchy, either by avenging your own, or by strategically eliminating a powerful enemy.

Strategies for Vendetta Missions:

Vendetta missions are an excellent opportunity to practice your combat skills and to learn the strengths and weaknesses of specific enemy types. Since the target is often a higher-ranking Uruk, they will likely have bodyguards and be accompanied by other captains. It's advisable to scout the area first and identify any potential threats before engaging.

Consider using stealth to your advantage. You can often get the drop on your target by climbing to higher ground or by using the environment to your benefit. If you have unlocked the ability to brand Uruks, you can also use your own forces to assist you in these missions. However, be mindful that your branded Uruks can also be killed, potentially triggering further Vendettas.

Key Considerations:

• Target's Strength: The Uruk who killed your ally will often be a powerful opponent. Pay attention to their traits and any immunities or strengths they possess.
• Environmental Hazards: Mordor is a dangerous place. Be aware of any environmental hazards, such as explosive grog barrels or patrolling groups of enemies, that could complicate your mission.
• Escape Routes: Always have an escape route planned. If the mission becomes too difficult, it's better to retreat and regroup than to be defeated.
