Part 59

From the trashcan, grab the [_LEMON PEEL_]. Head back to the hallway and pick up the [_AGAVE PLANT CLIPPING_]. Continue on to find the [_SILENCED PISTOL_].

Head down the stairs, kill the Mimic, and approach the escape pods. Frank will send a message, starting the 'Escape Attempt' objective: Blow the Shuttle Bay escape pod hatch from the station exterior.

Explore the area: kill two Mimics. Loot "Nils Kjaergaard's Corpse" for a [_SHOTGUN SHELL_] and [_TRANSCRIBE: NILS KJAERGAARD_]. Loot "Donald Hall's Corpse" for a [_BROKEN COOLER FAN_], a [_SUIT REPAIR KIT_], and a [_SHOTGUN SHELL_]. Loot "Todd Matsuyama's Corpse" for a [_BURNST CIRCUIT BOARD_] and a [_SPARE PARTS_].

In the middle walkway, loot the crate for [_CRISPY FRITES_] and [_METHUSELAH APPLE x2_]. Loot "Drew Springer's Corpse" for a [_BROKEN COOLER FAN_], [_SPARE PARTS_], and the [_TRANSCRIBE: DREW SPRINGER_] audio log. Note the maintenance hatch.

The next escape pod has two Mimics. Loot "Leon Woods' Corpse" for a [_BASEBALL GLOVE_]. The pod he's by is small and contains a Psi Hypo and a Chipset (requires Typhon Powers).

Perform a QUICK SAVE. Go to the maintenance hatch and launch pod 2 for flavor text from Frank and Emmanuella. You can cancel the launch to keep the quest active.

Head back to the security room and mark "Hunter Hale" for the "Derelict Shuttle" quest. Use the airlock to go to Talos I Exterior.

Head towards the "Hatch" marker. Destroy Cystoid Nests near the airlock and watch for a Technopath. Destroy two more Cystoid Nests near the hatch. Shoot off the FOUR RED CAPS on the hatch to release it.

Objective (Escape Attempt): Activate the manual escape pod launch.

Look for the shuttle, approximately 400+ meters away. Get behind it to find the entrance.

In the entrance, loot "Hunter Hale's Corpse" for a [_BROKEN COOLER FAN_], [_SUIT REPAIR KIT_], [_SILENCED PISTOL_], [_9MM BULLET_], and the [_TRANSCRIBE: HUNTER HALE_] audio log, completing the "Derelict Shuttle" side quest.

To the left, loot "V-071855-21" for a [_POPSTAR_] and "V-110655-27" for [_JELLIED EELS_]. If you have Leverage III, open the broken panel to access a cargo area with a [_WEAPON UPGRADE KIT_], [_RECYCLER CHARGE x2_], and a [_NEUROMOD_].

Past Hunter Hale, loot "V-060155-05" and "V-011155-17" (they have nothing). Loot the crate for [_SISKAK UNAGI ROLLZ_], [_METHUSELAH APPLE_], and [_DUCK BEER_]. In the cabin briefcase, find [_TYPHON LURE FABRICATION PLAN_], a [_TYPHON LURE_], [_SHOTGUN SHELLS x12_], and a [_NEUROMOD_].

Return to the Shuttle Bay airlock to re-enter the station.

Head back to the Escape Pods section. Open the maintenance hatch by the window and launch pod 2. Emmanuella will thank you and promise a reward.

Objective (Escape Attempt): Find what Emmanuella left for you.

Go to the bottom area and into the locker room. Climb to the ceiling area to find the reward. Read the [_URGENT EARTH DELIVERY NOTE_] and [_MOM NOTE_]. Your reward is [_NEUROMOD x2_], completing the "Escape Attempt" quest.

Return to the security station and put "Josh Dalton" on the personnel scanner. Exit and look at the nearby Grav Shaft. Grab the [_LIFTS SHUTDOWN NOTE_].

Go up to the "Control Room" and left to Mia Bayer's office. Kill the two Mimics inside.

Loot the room: [_BIG BANG CANDY_], a [_MEDKIT_], [_SPARE PARTS_], a [_CORRODED COIL_], a [_WRENCH_], [_USED PLASTIC TUBING_], a [_PSI HYPO_], and a BEAM SHIELDING (* 19.4GHZ) chipset.
