Inside, loot everything you can: you'll find [_FRAYED WIRE x2_], [_SPARE PARTS_], [_NEUROMOD x2_], a [_WEAPON UPGRADE KIT_], a whopping [_GLOO CANISTER x41_], the [_GLOO GUN VISCOSITY NOTE_], and some [_USED PLASTIC TUBING_] in a supply crate. Let's explore the floor now. Take a right out of the storage room and you'll see a radiation warning sign to your right. Check the PC to read three new emails: "THE HUNTRESS IS READY!", "MISSING OPERATOR PARTS", and "RE: FABRICATOR MALFUNCTION".
Okay, head out to the middle of this area and check the toolbox for some [_SPARE PARTS_] and [_USED PLASTIC TUBING_]. Near the airlock, you'll find some [_FRAYED WIRE_]. One last thing before we move on: in the back right corner, behind a closed-off mesh fence, there's a toolbox with a [_CORRODED COIL_] and [_FRAYED WIRE_]. You can't access the room behind the fence right now because it requires Leverage III, and the "Moon Door" in the floor needs Repair III, so don't worry about those for now.
With that done, use the computer to the right of the airlock's stairs to unlock it. That's "MACHINE SHOP AIRLOCK UNLOCKED (1 OF 5)" – nice!
Time for that airwalk! Let's head out into TALOS I EXTERIOR.
As soon as you load into space, you'll get a tutorial on "Microgravity". Remember this: use L to thrust, L3 to boost thrust, and L1 + R1 to brake. Press X to ascend and O to descend, and hold L1 or R1 to roll. It's a bit disorienting at first, but you'll get the hang of it.

Next, head right towards the "Cargo Bay Area". It's a bit lower down, but this should be your main hub out here. There's an Engineering Operator here that can refill your suit integrity, and thankfully, no enemies patrol this area. You'll also find "Jose Costa's Corpse" here, which contains a [_BANANA PEEL_]...
