Part 39

Continue your Prey (2017) walkthrough in Part 39. Navigate the Fitness Center and The Yellow Tulip, dealing with mind-controlled humans and a Telepath.

Alright, we're moving on to Part 39! We've picked up some useful items like the [_VEGGIE BLEND_], [_SUIT REPAIR KIT_], [_USED CIGAR_], [_FLEXIFOAM BOLTS x3_], and a [_METHUSELAH APPLE_]. Now, let's head back to the crew cabins and then the fitness center entrance to keep things rolling. Definitely hit that Quick Save button before we go in – you'll thank me later!

Quick Tip: I picked up the "Firearms II" skill around now. If you're going for a shotgun-heavy build like mine, it's a solid choice for boosting damage and critical chance. But hey, you do you!

Seriously though, QUICK SAVE. The Fitness Center is packed with mind-controlled folks, and we want to be ready.

Fitness Center

Get your Stun Gun ready! Head straight across to the locker room. Keep an eye out for "Oliver Benoit" – zap him, but be careful of the left corner where "Ike Stewart" is lurking. After you've dealt with them, loot their bodies for a [_BURNT CIRCUIT BOARD_], [_SPARE PARTS_], [_CRISPY FRITES_], and a [_BASEBALL GLOVE_].

Note: I spent a bit too long writing in here and made some noise, which apparently alerted someone. If you find yourself in a similar situation, just quick save after zapping these two, just in case!

This locker room is full of goodies. Go ahead and loot it all: you'll find [_SUIT REPAIR KIT x3_], [_9MM BULLETS x38_], a [_SILENCED PISTOL_], [_CRUMPLED PAPER x3_], some [_VEGGIE BLEND x3_], [_METHUSELAH APPLE x3_], a [_SUNBURST BANANA_], [_BASEBALL GLOVE x3_], a [_BURNT CIRCUIT BOARD_], [_SPARE PARTS_], and [_GLUCASSIST! x2_].

Now, exit the locker room and take a right, heading up the nearby stairs. This leads to a work-out room with a small desk. Here you'll find the "Neuromod Enhanced Yoga" book (heh!), a [_NEUROMOD_], and Emma Beatty's computer. Check her files for a Huntress Boltcaster download, and then dive into her emails for a new one:

Once that's done, head to the window overlooking the pool area. You'll spot a "Telepath" – this is what's controlling the humans. There are two mind-controlled individuals out there. Your priority is to take out the Telepath ASAP to free them. So, quick save and go for it. Being above it gives you a huge advantage, but I just rushed it and shotgunned it down.

As soon as the Telepath is down, the humans will fall unconscious. Check on "Mary Malinaro" and "Daniel Landon" to loot them for a [_SUIT REPAIR KIT_], [_FRAYED WIRE_], and [_SPARE PARTS_]. Then, go to the outside windows and bang on the far-left one to signal Danielle Sho. She'll show up, understandably upset about losing her girlfriend. She'll also warn you about the cook. Your objective will update:

• OBJECTIVE (Danielle Sho): Kill the imposter cook

Next, head into the hallway and put out the fire to make it safe. You'll find four corpses here. "Salman Kapoor" has a [_LEMON PEEL_]. "Harvey Clausen" has [_RANDOM DIM SUM_] and another [_LEMON PEEL_]. "Gary Snow" has some [_CAPTAIN SPREE'S FISH STICKS_]. And "EMMA BEATTY" has the [_TRANSCRIBE: EMMA BEATTY_] message (sadly), [_SPIRALITE COOKIES_], a [_BANANA PEEL_], and the [_TREASURE MAP FOR ROSALYN SWYFT NOTE_]. This updates our
