Follow this walkthrough for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire to find Nemnok the Devourer, navigate the Drowned Barrows, and rescue Kaali.
Sail northwest past Neketaka and Sayuka until you make landfall on a previously uncharted island.
Uncharted Island (1°S, 39°E)
Equip yourself to boost your Survival skill (Huana Charm Belt and Ruata's Walking Cloak) and head north to Bent Bough Forest.
Bent Bough Forest
You come across an altar that is clearly used for sinister purposes. Successfully searching the area requires a rather improbable 17 Survival so it is likely that you won't turn anything up. If you _do_ have 17 Survival, you find a journal that mentions Arkermyr and something called the "Sanguine Harvest".
If you return on the 16th of the month, you will find a ritual underway. Observe the cultists prepare a sacrificial victim. You then need to attack the cultists to get anything worthwhile. You will fight the Grand Harvester, four cultists and a pair of Fampyrs. When they're dead, loot the Sanguine Great Sword from the Grand Harvester's remains. The other enemies drop Superb gear. Alternatively, you can attack the cultists without observing them first. If Winking Audr, the would-be victim, survives the fight, you can recruit her. However, the Grand Harvester doesn't drop the sword. This appears to be one of several ways in which this interaction is bugged.
However you deal with the encounter, head west over to the Fampyr's Crypt and go inside.
The Cave of Threshing
This place is the lair of four Ancient Fampyrs, including a Sage and a Priest. You can creep around and get the drop on them, allowing you to start combat on your terms. They are still formidable enemies, however. When they're eliminated, search one of the coffins for The Giftbearer's Cloth. When you emerge from the cave, you will be able to name the island.
Return to your ship and sail northeast. You will find an island that you can land on to the east of Ori o Koīki.
Uncharted Island (6°N, 46°E)
Head southeast to the Sun-scorched valley.
Sun-scorched Valley
You will come across a group of eoten. You need high Stealth to sneak up on them so you may as well just attack them - they're small fry compared to Ancient Fampyrs. When they're dead, grab the Street Sweeper quarterstaff that one of the creatures leaves behind. Dealing with the eoten allows you to search the Old Battleground to the northeast. Make your way to the north of the island to Kohopa's Fang.
Kohopa's Fang - Foothills
During the interactive sequence, scale the mountain and deal with the nāga at the top. Don't bother throwing an explosive at it unless you have decent skill. You will find yourself fighting a Flame Nāga Sorcerer and a large number of Flame Bats. Have a ranged attacker deal with the Sigil of Pain next to the nāga. When they're taken care of, search a nearby corpse for the Sungrazer flail. Make your way to the area exit and climb the mountain once more. When you reach the top, sneak into the cave.
Kohopa's Fang
While maintaining stealth, remove the two traps on either side of the entrance before dealing with the Flame Nāga - two Marauders on the lower level and three Archers on the upper level. When they're taken care of, disarm a third trap across the doorway in front of you. Go through to face the nāga leader, Uvaala, who is accompanied by a couple of Marauders and Archers. There are traps around the statue which you which you will probably be unable to avoid setting off while fighting the enemies. However, they're not too damaging. When the enemies are dead, loot Uvaala's remains for Revku's Scorched Cloak. Search a corpse at the foot of the statue to find the Magran's Favor battle axe. Finally, search the nest to find a Flame Nāga Hatchling that you can adopt. When you leave the temple, you will be able to name the island.
Return to your ship. There is another island just to the north where you can land. Make a note of it for the time being since it is the lair of another mega boss. Sail due west. There is a plagued ship that you can deal with however you please. Continue west and you will come to an island where you can land. Go northwest from the landing point to the location marked "Captain Henqua's Treasure" and click on it for a scripted interaction.
Captain Henqua's Treasure
You will net some coin, a couple of gems and the Magnera's Chain armour. Afterwards, make your way east to Junvik Village.
Junvik Village
When you enter, you will overhear a dwarven woman telling someone named Tatok that The Drowned Barrows are closed and that he can join his son by offering himself to Nemnok. Sounds like a sidequest! There are a couple of things to pick up before you investigate further. You will find a dog named Nalvi over on the eastern side of the village. There is another dog named Ulk over on the opposite side by Gabel the merchant. Afterwards, speak to Tatok who is working at his anvil to the left of the statue. Ask what the argument was about to learn that Anniq, the chieftain, offered his son, Kaali, to the Drowned Barrows and that Nemnok accepted him. It seems that Nemnok is the "god" of the village and has an appetite for children. Offer to investigate further to initiate Nemnok the Devourer. You can speak to Anniq if you like, but you won't get much sense out of her.
Leave through the exit in the north of the village and make your way to the Drowned Barrows. Choose to climb up to the left eye and use a Rope and Grappling Hook to gain entry without injury.
Drowned Barrows - Crown
Step forward and Acolyte Kinnuq will tell you that he has all the scribes he needs. Ask about Kaali and he will tell you that he is in the lower sanctum. After you finish speaking to him, search one of the desks to read Kunnuq's Memo. Go through the door on the right where you will be attacked by the scriveners and a powerful eoten. Search the barracks for some worthwhile loot, and read A Note on the Forge, another memo from Kunnu
