Hey there! So, you're diving into Persona 3 FES and wondering about these 'Full Moon Operations'? Think of them as the big boss fights that happen every month on the full moon. They're a pretty major part of the story, where some seriously tough Shadows show up to cause trouble on Tatsumi Port Island. Here's the deal: on most Full Moon Operation days, you're kinda locked down. No free time during the day or evening, and you have to hang out at the dorm. The Velvet Room is off-limits, and you can't save your game. It's a bit of a bummer, I know! There are a couple of exceptions, though. On June 8th, you actually get some free time after school, which is nice. And January 31st is a bit different – you'll be stuck in Tartarus until you reach the top. Just a heads-up, clearing these operations unlocks new floors in Tartarus, but you'll be fatigued the day after, so you can't jump right into exploring them. Sometimes, certain party members might be forced to join you or might be unavailable for the fight due to story reasons. Keep an eye on that! In Persona 3 Reload, they added a cool feature where you can save during these operations and even rewind time if you lose, but in FES, it's a bit more old-school. Losing means you might have to try again from your last save. Also, remember that the full moons on December 2nd and December 31st don't have battles. December 2nd is when Ryoji reveals his true form, and December 31st is a big one where you decide the fate of the world. Pretty heavy stuff! Keep these operations in mind as you progress.
