Master the challenging boss fights in Persona 3 FES Part 47. Learn strategies to defeat Judgement Swords, Stasis Giants, and the Phantom King.

This section covers boss fights in Persona 3 FES, specifically the Judgement Swords, Stasis Giants, and the Phantom King.

Judgement Sword (JS)

These enemies are similar to the Hell Knights but lack Elec Break. Their main threat is Tempest Slash, a powerful multi-hit single-target Slash attack dealing around 450 damage, acting like an instant death attack. Ma/Ziodyne attacks deal about 200 HP damage to the party.

Recommended Party & Strategy: Bring Akihiko, Yukari, and Junpei, setting them to Support. Junpei should use Marakukaja to counter Marakunda, Yukari should use Mediarama for healing, and Akihiko should cast Matarunda every three turns to reduce JS's damage output. Immediately cast Masukukaja at the start of the battle. Avoid Ma/Ziodyne and Tempest Slash whenever possible. If using Jatayu, cast Garudyne every turn for over 200 damage. Alternatively, use the Gae Bolg weapon for similar damage at no SP cost, but ensure Masukukaja is active to avoid stumbles. If using Thor, Vicious Strike can crit but deals less damage due to JS's Strike resistance. Set party members to Knock Down to prevent accidental attacks on downed enemies.

Recommended Personas: Jatayu (learns Null Elec at Lv 59), Byakko (Absorb Elec, Resist Slash), or Thor (Null Elec, Vicious Strike).

Recommended Equipment: Gae Bolg, Vayu Bracers.

Dropped Items: Dense Rock x 3

Treasure: Precious Egg

Stasis Giants (SG)

These enemies can be difficult due to their high damage output, especially when combined with Power Charge and Matarukaja, and your party being affected by Marukunda. Fighting three at once is challenging.

Attacks: Mighty Swing, Getsu-ei, and Zan-ei deal about 200 HP damage to a single target. Getsu-ei is more powerful. Deathbound and Gale Slash attack the entire party for 250 HP damage, with Gale Slash potentially hitting multiple times. SG's Tempest Slash is an instant death attack. Gigantic Fist is a Strike attack similar in damage to Mighty Swing, often used after Power Charge. Double Fang deals 60-80 HP damage.

Recommended Strategy: Aim to be Lv 58. Fuse Chernobog (Barong + Mot) and then with Kusi Mitama to get Thor with Null Slash (it has Null Strike by default). Equip Mjolnir and Indra Ring. Use Rush for nearly 300 HP damage per hit.

Recommended Personas: Thor (Null Slash, Null Strike).

Recommended Equipment: Mjolnir, Indra Ring.

Dropped Items: Attack Mirror x 3

Treasure: Balm of Life

Phantom King (PK)

This is an easier fight. Bring a Persona with Null Light and Mediarahan, such as Throne, or one with Garudyne like Jatayu, or Surt with Ragnarok. High Endurance and Mind Charge Personas are also useful. Equip Laevateinn or a weapon with Fear Resist and Agni Bracer. You can fight this boss alone.

Strategy: On the first turn, equip Throne. Keep attacking with Laevateinn. After PK uses Mind Charge, switch to a Persona with high Endurance. Then switch back to Throne to heal the MC to full health.

Recommended Personas: Throne (Null Light, Mediarahan), Jatayu (Garudyne), Surt (Ragnarok).

Recommended Equipment: Laevateinn (or weapon with Fear Resist), Agni Bracer.
