Learn how to take down the Empress and Emperor bosses in Persona 3 FES. Get tips on strategy, battle actions, and party member tactics to succeed.

Alright, so you've made it to Part 18! This section is all about a pretty tough boss fight against two Shadows: the Empress and the Emperor. They show up in Tartarus, and you'll need a solid strategy to take them down. Don't worry, I'll walk you through it.

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Empress
  • Emperor
  • Level: 19
  • EXP: 1,525
  • Money: 550
  • Dropped Item(s): N/A

Battle Actions:

  • Strike Attack
  • Magaru
  • Magarula
  • Bewilder
  • Evil Touch
  • Marin Karin
  • Paradigm Shift
  • Slash Attack
  • Fatal End (Slash)
  • Swift Strike (Strike)

Phases:

  1. Initial Assault: Start by having Fuuka analyze one of the bosses. Then, set Aki and Junpei to 'Assign Target' on the Emperor. Cast single-hit spells like Agi on the Emperor. This should stagger it, setting up a knockdown.
  2. Downed Emperor: Once the Emperor is down, let Aki and Junpei unleash their attacks. They'll deal a significant chunk of damage, taking it down to about half health.
  3. Resumed Attacks: After Fuuka's analysis is complete, the bosses will resume their assault. If any of your party members get KOed, don't panic. Use a Revival Bead to bring them back.
  4. Focus Fire: Keep casting spells on the Emperor, and use powerful physical skills like Getsu-ei on the Empress. You'll want to cancel any All-Out Attacks (AoA) if they're not beneficial and focus on survival and consistent damage.

Strategy:

  • Target Prioritization: Focus on staggering the Emperor first. This opens it up for massive damage from your teammates.
  • Healing is Key: If your friends get KOed, prioritize reviving them. A full party is crucial for this fight.
  • Skill Usage: Mix single-target spells for staggering with powerful physical skills like Getsu-ei for sustained damage, especially on the Empress.
  • Team Management: Keep an eye on your party members' health and status effects. Use Revival Beads and healing spells as needed.
  • Learn the "Knock Down" tactic.
  • EXP: 1,525
