Now, reset your system, reload your save, and schedule the battle again. This time, you'll need to wait a specific amount of time before the battle starts. The table below tells you exactly how long to wait and what color Yoshi you'll end up with.

Now, about the actual battle strategy... well, the enemies' defense is listed as 'UNKNOWN,' which usually means they're super tough. In this case, that's pretty much true. You'll probably have to run away or get knocked out to even get through it. But hey, at least you can use that trick above to get the Yoshi color you want!

YOSHI'S ABILITIES: A PRIMER

Stats: Max HP : 10, Attack : 1, Defense: 0

Field Abilities:

• X: Press X to hop on Yoshi's back and speed up your movement across the map.
• X, then A: While riding Yoshi, press A to perform a Flutter Jump. This lets you float in the air for a few seconds, but it won't give you any extra height.

Battle Abilities:

• Ground Pound: Press R repeatedly. If you nail the Action Command, you can do up to 4 damage.
• Gulp (4 FP): Hold R and release it right when the star lights up. This attack hits the targeted enemy and the one behind them for 4 damage each. It pierces defenses, so it'll always do the same damage to everyone. Just a heads-up, though: if the enemy is too big, like a boss, Yoshi won't be able to swallow them, but they can still take damage if the enemy in front of them gets hit.
