Walkthrough

    Return to the previous room and Spin Jump on the X-marked panel to proceed through it.

    In the new room, carefully jump across the pillars to reach a Shine Sprite and a Charge badge (requires Koops).

    Go back up the pipe and return to the cage where the Punies are trapped.

    Smash the panel in the cage, but do not go through it yet. Place the Puni Orb on the pedestal, then use Flurrie to blow the Punies into the hole. Afterwards, go through the hole.

    Before proceeding, collect more Star Pieces by using Spin Jump on panels in the following areas:
    • Around the right side of the room above the entrance room.

    In the blue jail cell.

    Go back to the room above where the tree stump was located. Place the Puni Orb on the pedestal, break the panel, use Flurrie to blow the Punies into the hole, and then go down the hole and through the pipe.

    Continue advancing through the next rooms until you reach the room with the pool of water and use the pipe.

    In the next room, leave the Punies, jump across the pillars to the other side, and enter the vertical pipe. Go to the far side of the room and stand on the blue switch. Bring out Koops and hold his shell past where the ! block was. Get Mario off the switch and release X. Koops should hit the switch, draining the water. Enter the drained area to open a chest for a Shrink Stomp badge and check behind the stairs for a Dizzy Dial. Return to where the Punies are.

    In this room, cross the lilypads, being careful not to fall, and collect the Shine Sprite. Use the unused pipe.

    In the next room, ensure all 101 Punies are with you, then place the Puni Orb on the pedestal to lower it. Heal, check the bush for a Mushroom, save, and exit to the left.

    In the octagonal room, place the Puni Orb on the central pedestal. Lord Crump will steal the Crystal Star and activate a bomb with a 300-second timer to destroy the Great Tree. Remove the Puni Orb and follow him quickly.

    In the next room, defeat the two X-Nauts with Earth Tremor. Check the bottom-right bush for a Star Piece, unlock the door, and leave.

    You will return to the room with the shop. Go back to the upper level and use the vertical pipe.

    In the bubble room, jump to the other side, place the Puni Orb, jump back, use Flurrie to blow the Punies across, and jump back over. Remove the Puni Orb and check your Puni total before proceeding through the door.
