Follow our guide to complete the 'Leap of a Thousand Years' chapter in My Time at Portia. Learn how to approach the Depths, investigate the tower, find Skelegon, and cross the desert.
Walkthrough
- 1After landing on a desolate island, approach the abyss to trigger a scene and reunite with Edward. A trophy, "It's Been 1,000 Years...", will pop. Run down the path to enter the abyss.
- 2You'll meet a hostile girl and be thrown through a rift to a new island named Ginormosia.
- 3Upon arriving in Ginormosia, you'll receive the trophy "Vast! Endless! Ginormous!".
- 4Your next objective is to investigate the nearby tower. Before heading there, go north and climb small ledges to a plateau. Examine the sapling to find a Leafe and earn the trophy "Found a Spirit!".
- 5Head to the marker and inspect the tower to meet Googlina, the area's Tower. Towers allow you to access the region's map and change the Area Rank, which affects enemy levels and loot. Higher ranks require Area EXP, gained from defeating enemies and gathering items.
- 6Googlina will tell you Skelegon is past the "Shiny Poop". Head southeast to an oasis with a Campfire.
- 7Continue to the marker, but you'll find the desert too hot to cross on foot.
- 8Turn back to find a merchant who needs Soothing Water for a wasp sting.
- 9Go to the nearby Oasis and speak with a Wandering Haniwa. He will offer the water if you defeat him and his Phantom Buddies.
- 10With a recruited Phantom Buddy (like Colin), defeat the Wandering Haniwa. Be mindful of his large AOE attack.
- 11Return to the merchant, who will give you a Camel Mount as thanks.
- 12Use your Camel Mount to cross the scorching desert to the marker. You can dismount without taking damage after inspecting some underwear.
- 13Reach the "Shiny Poop", also known as Jo'ee Shrine.
- 14Enter the shrine and defeat the Swindlewolves to save the Odd Dresser.
- 15Leave the shrine and head to the new marker.
- 16Use your mount again to cross more desert to the next marker.
- 17Approach Skelegon and witness a scene where Googlina's brother, Googlbert, tries to heal him. Skelegon sneezes out a mysterious artifact, and you return to Base Camp.
- 18You can now travel between the Past, Present, and Ginormosia using the Teleportation Gate (accessible from the Weird Pad) and Skelegon's Travel Spots (marked with a icon).
- 19Proceed north to the area where you found Edward and head down to The Depths.
Tips
- Leafe are small saplings scattered around Ginormosia. Saving them yields items or recipes. Saving all Leafe in an area and reporting to the tower grants additional rewards.
- Phantom Buddies are temporary recruits in Ginormosia that aid in combat and double EXP earned. You can only have one at a time, and they disappear after some time or if you leave the island.
- Mounts can be registered from your Weird Pad and used by pressing . They allow you to cross large areas like deserts without taking damage.
- Shrines contain challenges (enemy fights or puzzles) to save Strangelings, people transformed into objects.
