Phases:

1. Normal Mode: Teostra moves slower and uses less powder. His safest spots are behind his hind legs. He'll mostly use fire breath and claw swipes.
2. Rage Mode: Teostra moves much faster and hits harder. Most attacks gain explosive properties, increasing their range. This mode lasts about 90 seconds.
3. End of Rage Mode: Teostra performs his devastating Supernova attack, which will one-shot you. This signals the end of his rage mode.

Strategy:

• Positioning is Key: When Teostra isn't enraged, stick to his hind legs. It's your safest bet against his fire breath and claw swipes.
• Watch for Powder: Teostra spreads explosive powders, indicated by red-orange ripples in the air. Know where they are and avoid them. If the powder is close to him, run away. If it's in a ring far from him, run towards him. If it's in front of his head or behind his tail, be ready to move.
• Rage Mode Awareness: When Teostra enrages (he moves faster, attacks are explosive), be extra cautious. His attacks have a much larger area of effect.
• Supernova Dodge: The Supernova attack at the end of his rage mode is unblockable and a guaranteed kill. When you see him winding up for it, just run as far away as possible. It happens wherever he is, not targeted at you, but the blast radius is huge.
• Breakable Parts: Aim for his horns to reduce his fire abilities (they break twice and only after his health is low enough). His talons can get a scar when broken. His tail can be severed if his health is reduced enough.

  • 360 Fire Breath: He spins and breathes fire. Also easy to evade.

  • Explosive Tail Swipe: Flicks his tail, spreading powder that gives Blastblight. If you already have Blastblight, you'll explode!
