Alright, so you've run into the Seltas! Don't let its speedy, fragile nature fool you; this flying insect can still pack a punch with its big horn and sharp legs. It's one of the first monsters you'll face, making it a perfect training dummy to get a feel for aerial combat and dodging. Let's break down how to handle it.

Seltas's Moveset: What to Watch Out For

• Triple Spit: This is its go-to ranged attack. It'll spit three blobs of green goo. If these hit you, they'll inflict Defense Down, making you take more damage. Try to dodge sideways or roll through them.
• Flying Charge: It lowers its horn and charges right at you. In rage mode, it'll do this twice in a row, so be ready to dodge twice! It also uses this to take off, so keep an eye out.
• Hovering Claw Swipe: It'll hover, swipe its claw in a 180-degree arc, and pivot. This happens twice. It hits hard and can send you flying, so be prepared to dodge or get some distance.
• Claw Slam: You'll hear it buzz loudly as it gets agitated. It lifts its giant claws and slams them down, sending you flying. This is a pretty telegraphed move, so dodge when you see the wind-up.
• Pin Attack (High Rank Only): This is a nasty one. It slashes at the ground to try and pin you. If you get caught, your best bet is to use a Dung Bomb to escape. Make sure you have one handy if you're in High Rank!

Breakable Parts

• Horn: You can visibly see that its horn is missing a chunk. Breaking this might affect some of its attacks or give you extra loot.

Weaknesses: Exploit These!

• Elemental: Thunder and Fire are your best friends here. Bring weapons with these elements if you can.
• Status: It's also susceptible to Blast and Poison. Applying these can chip away at its health over time.

Special Interactions & Tips

• If the Seltas charges into a cliff and its horn hasn't been broken yet, it'll get stuck for a bit. If you hit it or flash it while it's stuck, it'll fall to the ground, giving you a great opening to attack.
• When it goes to sleep, it likes to rest on walls. This makes it tough to sleep bomb. However, if you wake it up while it's on the wall, it'll fall down, leaving it vulnerable on the ground. Take advantage of that!
