Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Part 41 walkthrough covering stealth, collectibles like DATA STORAGE #19 and #20, and the Metal Gear Excelsus boss battle.
Walkthrough
- 1Approach the armored vehicle on the left. Wait for the heavily armored cyborg (wielder of a [LEFT HAND ID]) to pass, then slice him from the back.
- 2Quickly move behind the armored vehicle again to avoid detection by the other nearby cyborg.
- 3From the perspective of entering the base, move to the right part of the area and defeat the cyborg, being careful of the turret near the hangar entrance.
- 4Climb the containers near this entrance to reach a platform with a chest containing [5000 BP].
- 5After entering the base, move on top of the containers to the upper left in the first area to reach a platform attached to the building. The DATA STORAGE #19 can be found at the end of this roof.
- 6Equip the drum can (a throwable item) and hug the left hand wall to sneak past the guard at the top of the stairs as another cyborg walks away.
- 7Once past the guard on top of the stairs, quickly take out the remaining cyborg.
- 8Find the [JAM GRENADE] in the corner of the area, hidden behind some containers.
- 9Climb these containers to take out the guard above.
- 10In the hangar, hide behind the forklift in the right corner and wait for the heavily armored guard to come close, then strike from behind.
- 11Wait for the guard on the upper catwalk to move to the left, then quickly ninja run (a special movement ability) on top of the containers to reach him.
- 12After dispatching the catwalk guard, perform a ninja move on the other guard in the first section of the hangar.
- 13The heavily armored guard closest to you wields a [LEFT HAND ID]. Wait until he moves to the left side of the hangar while the other guard is at the back, then take him out.
- 14Defeat the last cyborg.
- 15Find the box with [REPAIR NANOPASTE] on top of the containers in the upper right corner of the hangar.
- 16On top of the highest container in this corner, find the [ENDURANCE +1] item, which increases your maximum health.
- 17Approaching the hangar from the start of this area, stay on the right side and look behind the containers for VR MISSION #20.
- 18In the hangar, jump on top of the second plane (furthest away initially) and carefully hop onto the right propeller to find DATA STORAGE #20.
- 19Head outside through the fence and look in the corner of the area for [REPAIR NANOPASTE].
- 20Destroy the camera to the left.
- 21Quickly jump on top of the catwalk when the guard is looking away, and immediately equip the drum can. Approach the guard from behind to cut off his [LEFT HAND ID], then switch back to the drum can.
- 22Deal with the other two cyborgs using a RP/EM Grenade or 3D Photo Frame.
- 23Find the [MAN IN BOX] behind the containers at the far end alley.
- 24Proceed to the waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination) to trigger the final boss fight.
BOSS BATTLE: METAL GEAR EXCELSUS - RANKED BATTLE #2
Keep dodging its attacks and damage the boss' legs whenever he moves them. You will enter Blade Mode (a mode allowing for precise slicing) when damaging the legs enough, and you will also be able to slash away at the head when a BMI error is generated halfway through the battle.
- SINGLE BLADE VERTICAL SLASH: Dodge easily with Ninja Run or a well-timed dodge. He doesn't give much time to hurt him after this move.
- DOUBLE BLADE VERTICAL SLASH: Dodge with Ninja Run; this is more difficult than the single blade slash. Keep moving and maintain distance. A last-moment dodge can also help. You can damage Excelsus by hacking at its blades after this.
- SINGLE BLADE HORIZONTAL SLASH: Timely jump over this, which is fairly easy as it's a single slash. Using Ninja Run while jumping helps.
- DOUBLE BLADE HORIZONTAL SLASH: Ninja Run towards the two blades when they come at you; Raiden will automatically dodge the attack. Ensure you have time to Ninja Run.
Tips
- Use the AR (Assault Rifle) to observe the heavily armored cyborg before engaging.
- Equipping the drum can allows you to sneak past guards by hugging walls.
- The [ENDURANCE +1] will bring your health to 200% if you have been buying health upgrades in the customization shop.
- If you trigger caution while trying to get the [LEFT HAND ID] outside the hangar, equipping the drum can should still allow you to approach the guard from behind.
