    When controlling the dwarf gekko (a small robotic enemy), jump onto the crates stacked under the yellow catwalk in the upper right corner of the area to find Data Storage #9.

    Locate and socialize with the five dwarf gekkos in the area by pressing Y or Triangle (the button prompt for interacting with characters or objects). The first is on crates to your right. The second requires precise platforming: jump on the middle crate, then the middle bar, walk to the other side, hop onto the thin bar to the walls, then onto machines, and finally to the yellow crane device and top yellow bar. The third is in the dark upper right corner of the first hall. The fourth is on pipes around the corner, reachable by hopping on crates to your left. The fifth is on boxes in the corner of the other hall.

    After socializing with the fifth dwarf gekko, hop through the vent duct near where the fifth cyborg was patrolling on the catwalk and press the button inside to open the door for Raiden.

    Now controlling Raiden, kill the dwarf gekkos and optionally Zandatsu (perform a finishing move to retrieve a weapon or item) unconscious guards.

    The catwalk guard has a [LEFT HAND ID].

    At the end of the catwalk, find a Blade Mode (a mode that slows time allowing for precise cuts) box containing an [ENDURANCE +1] item.

BOSS BATTLE: GRAD

GRAD is fast. Hide behind large canisters when it locks on to you. A flurry of attacks and parries can stun GRAD, allowing you to enter Blade Mode and cut off panels. When GRAD reaches 10% HP, it will be stunned longer, allowing you to enter Blade Mode twice to finish it.

  • SLIDE SMASH: GRAD slides and attempts to smash you with its panels. This can cause a BMI error (a status effect that impairs your controls). Try to parry, block, or evade.
  • ARM SMASH: A regular smash attack. Parry or block.
  • LOCK ON: GRAD locks on and fires its turret, launching homing missiles. Avoid the lock-on or block the missiles, which can cause a BMI error.
  • PANEL SMASH: GRAD smashes its large panel into you. Attempt to block this.
Tips
  • It is impossible to get all data storages, the trophy/achievement, and an S-rank in a single run. Focus on the S-rank in later playthroughs.
  • The timer for the ranking starts when you gain control of the Dwarf Gekko.
  • The ranking tables for this section (Ranked Battle #8) require a time of 2:30 for 2000 points, 3:00 for 1800 points, 4:00 for 1500 points, and 8:00 for 1200 points.
