Guide Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - West Beanbean

This section of the walkthrough covers navigating West Beanbean, including finding items and dealing with early enemies.

Walkthrough

After the intro cutscene where Peach's voice is stolen, you'll control Toad. Follow the prompts to reach Mario's house.

After Mario and Luigi head to the castle, you'll face a tutorial battle against Bowser. Use the Jump action three times to defeat him.

After the Bowser fight, you'll be tasked with traveling to the Beanbean Kingdom. You'll arrive at the Castle Plaza.

In the Castle Plaza, collect the three Mushrooms from blocks and the one on the east ledge. A Toad will give you a Super Mushroom.

A Green Toad on the west side will ask you to find his missing items; retrieving them earns you a 1-Up Mushroom.

Talk to the Toad by the fountain to learn about action commands.

Proceed to the next area and use the Save Album.

Toadsworth will give you a suitcase and 100 Coins before you move to the final area of the Plaza.

Board the Koopa Cruiser. Luigi will be forced aboard.

On the Koopa Cruiser, collect 8 Coins from a Bros Block and two Mushrooms from blocks in the third area.

You'll encounter Goombas. They have 6 HP and 1 DEF. Their 'Ram' attack deals 1 damage and can be dodged with a Jump. They can be counterattacked.

A Koopa Troopa will stop you for passport photos.

Another Koopa Troopa will offer a tutorial on fighting as a pair.

Break boxes to reveal more Goombas for experience and items.

You'll be asked to help a Koopa Troopa defeat two Goombas disrupting immigration, and learn how to initiate attacks.
