Hey there! So, you've probably noticed a bunch of stats in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and most of them are pretty straightforward. But there's this one called "Stache" that might have you scratching your head. Think of it like your character's Luck stat. The higher your Stache, the luckier you'll be in battles, which can totally swing things in your favor! But that's not all – it's got a super useful second purpose. When you hit up any shop, a higher Stache stat means you'll get better discounts on everything. So, definitely keep that in mind as you're leveling up your bros!

Walkthrough:

The game kicks off right in Peach's Castle in the Mushroom Kingdom. A big shot from the neighboring Beanbean Kingdom shows up, hoping to smooth things over with Princess Peach. They bring a gift, but surprise! It's a trap. They spray some weird gas at Peach, and then these two baddies from Beanbean hightail it out of there.

Next thing you know, you're outside Mario & Luigi's place. Toad rushes out to tell Luigi there's an emergency. Luigi's clueless, so Toad dashes back inside to find Mario. You'll take control of Toad here. Head to the back of the house, into the steamy bathroom. Toad, in his panic, slams right into a wall and knocks himself out. Mario comes out, gives Toad a few bonks to get the info, and then bolts outside. He suits up and hauls Luigi off to the castle.

At the castle, you'll run into Bowser, who's already there waiting for Peach. Bowser gets super mad, thinking Mario & Luigi attacked him from behind, and launches into a fight. This is where you'll learn the basics of combat. Toad will guide you through the Timed Attacks and Timed Dodging mechanics. After a few rounds of wailing on Bowser, the battle wraps up. You'll then find out from the royal guards that the Beanbean Kingdom ambassador didn't just steal a gift – they stole Princess Peach's voice! Now, every time she tries to talk, explosions pop out of her speech bubbles. You'll be asked to go to Beanbean Kingdom and get her voice back. Naturally, Mario's all in. Bowser, wanting to avoid any more explosions, offers to fly you to Beanbean in his Koopa Cruiser. And off you go!
