Chucklehuck Woods

From the entrance, head west into the forest. Use High Jump to reach a ledge with a Mushroom. Fight Pestnuts and find the map on the western wall.

Use your Hammer to break the rock and enter the north area. Activate Warp Pipe (#5). Collect a Mushroom and Syrup from blocks. Return to the map area.

Go into the western area, drop down to the gate, and use the Mole ability to get Luigi under it. Have Luigi Hammer the wall switch to open the gate. Return with Mario, then High Jump to the next area.

Head west and High Jump to the Save Album. Save your game. Optionally, enter the west area and hit 3 blocks for a 1-Up Mushroom, Refreshing Herb, and 1 Coin.

A large Koopa blocks the path. Return to the previous section and break the 2 rocks blocking mouse holes. Make Mario a Mouse and enter the right hole first to get 2 Syrups and a Mushroom from blocks.

Enter the left hole and pound the switch with the Hammer to open the gate. Become normal-sized, go north, and High Jump to the next area.

In the next area, use Luigi as a Mole to jump into the barrel. Step on the floor switch to make the fireball hit the mask, raising a platform. High Jump to the upper ledges and the next area.

Defeat the Chuck Guy, jump to and break the rock, then go east. Hit 3 blocks for 5 Coins, a Mushroom, and a Refreshing Herb. Interact with the Bros. Block before heading west.

Jump up the ledges and head into the west area. Defeat enemies and read the sign explaining the need to become "barrel-man" with Luigi.

Jump up step ledges and Spin Jump to the barrel. Have Luigi become a Mole and enter the barrel. Position Luigi below the northwest wall switch. Have Mario jump on the barrel and pound the switch.

Luigi exits the barrel. High Jump northward. Upon entering, use the Save Album.

Go up the middle path to meet Chuckleroot. He requires the 3 Chuckola Fruits (red, white, purple) to pass. The side gates open. Take the east path.

In the east area, defeat Pestnuts and head southeast. Avoid the north path as it only contains rocks.

In the next area, make Mario micro-sized and enter the mouse hole. Hammer the first switch to open the east gate. Switch to Luigi and hit the switch on the east side to open the west gate for Mario.

Switch back and hit the next switch. Have Mario walk to Luigi's position. Hammer Luigi into the ground and have him go under the east gate. Mario stands by the small hole. Have Luigi hit the switch. The west gate opens for 15 seconds.

Luigi jumps on the spring to hop over the gate. Quickly run to Mario, make him small, and move north to collect the White Chuckola Fruit. Hit the switch and backtrack out of the maze. High Jump back to the previous area.

Return to the Save Album and take the western path. Fight enemies and take the southwest path.

Chuckleroot's granddaughter appears and reveals a secret about ground symbols. Use Luigi's Mole ability to dig up the 5 symbols in this area. Talk to her again to open the south gate. Go south.

Go south and a Wiggler is stuck in a mouse hole. Take turns jumping on it until it squeezes through. Make Mario a Mouse and enter the hole, but a Wiggler chases him out. Battle the Wiggler (see Bosses section).

After defeating the Wiggler, make Mario small and enter the hole to get the Red Chuckola Fruit. Exit, become normal-sized, and High Jump out of the area. Go north through the granddaughter's room to the next large area.

Take the southeast path. Defeat Chuck Guys, then go east and north into the Purple Chuckola Cave.

Inside, hit 3 blocks for Coins, a Mushroom, and Syrup. Go east to a lone block with a Mushroom. Jump up the background platforms, High Jumping right for a Coin block or left to yellow platforms. Alternate A and B while holding Right on the platforms to progress.

Enter the next room. Drop down to hit 2 blocks for a Mushroom and Coins. Spin Jump over the gap. Collect the Purple Chuckola Fruit, then go south to exit the cave.

Head west to the next area. Drop into the "barrel-man" area. High Jump on the northwestern ledges to reach the top and enter the next area. Save at the Save Album.
