Alright, so you've just wrapped up Substory 43, and Asakura's not letting Ichiban off the hook that easily! Substory 44, 'A Changed Man,' is your next stop, and Asakura's itching for a rematch. You'll find him waiting at Shipper's Wharf. Just a heads-up, this area can be a bit rough – there are enemies above level 40 wandering around, especially in the alley leading to Asakura. So, keep an eye on your wallet and your health!

Asakura will be waiting at the end of that alley, ready to throw down again. He'll tell you he's gotten stronger and wants another go. Just accept his challenge to get this substory rolling.

Unlocking the Heart of a Champion Ability

This time around, Asakura is level 26. His attacks can hit for over 200 damage, which is no joke! You'll be fighting as Ichiban solo, but don't forget you can still call in your Poundmates – seriously, use them, they make this fight way easier. The key here is to have Ichiban kitted out with good gear and to stay a few levels above Asakura. Keep a close watch on his health bar, and if Ichiban's health drops below 200, make sure to heal up on your next turn. It's pretty much the same fight as before, just a bit more challenging.

Once you finally beat Asakura this time, you'll unlock the Heart of a Champion ability. This is a super useful move you can use in battle to boost both your attack and defense, so it's definitely worth the effort!
