Alright, so you've been putting in work on Dondoko Island and you're ready to give Ichiban a nicer place to crash. Expanding your house is pretty straightforward, but it'll cost you some Dokobucks. Let's get you set up with a bigger and better island home!

First things first, you need to make sure your island has a decent Livability score. Aim for at least 500. This just means you've placed a good amount of furniture around your place.

Once you hit that 500 Livability mark, head over to the shop and find Kenzo. He's the guy who handles all the construction.

Talk to Kenzo, and he'll offer you the first house expansion. This will add more space to your home and costs 100,000 Dokobucks.

After that first expansion is done, you can talk to Kenzo again. This time, he'll offer to add a second floor to your house. This is a bigger upgrade and will set you back 1,500,000 Dokobucks.

Once you've got the second floor, you unlock the ability to do renovations. These don't add more space but change the color scheme of your house. Each renovation costs 30,000 Dokobucks.

Tips

Keep in mind that the house system is pretty basic right now – you can't actually create separate rooms. It's mostly about aesthetics and boosting Ichiban's health.
You can see the Livability score each furniture item provides before you buy it, so plan your decorating accordingly.
You can check your current Livability score anytime while you're inside your home.
Removing furniture will actually decrease Ichiban's health on the island, so be mindful of your decorating choices!
The island shop has a limited selection of items, so don't expect a huge variety for decorating.
