Landing gear (e.g., LT-1 Landing Struts, LT-2 Landing Struts) provides a safe and stable platform for landing on celestial bodies or runways. Parachutes (e.g., Mk16 Parachute, Mk2-R Radial-Mount Parachute) are essential for safely returning vessels to Kerbin's surface by slowing their descent through the atmosphere.

Choose landing gear appropriate for the mass of your vessel and the terrain you'll be landing on. Ensure you have enough parachutes to safely slow your craft to a survivable impact speed (typically under 10 m/s). Radial parachutes are useful for larger vessels or when a stack-mounted parachute isn't feasible.
